Heavy axles need a strong pivot point, and that’s exactly what this 1-1/8" diameter spring-eye bolt gives you. Built from Grade 5 steel, it’s made to handle the load from 10,000-lb, 12,000-lb, or 15,000-lb Dexter axle equalizers without flexing or loosening up. It connects the slipper spring to the front hanger or equalizer, keeping the suspension tight and stable under heavy use.
When you’re replacing worn hardware, precise fit matters. This bolt measures 6" long and features 7 threads per inch for a secure, consistent clamp every time. The size and thread pitch make it easy to tighten to spec and maintain a solid connection so your suspension keeps working smoothly.
This bolt is designed to work with the matching locknut (part 6-72, sold separately) to stay secure against vibration. That means once it’s torqued down, it won’t back off over rough roads or long hauls. Together they make a lasting, serviceable joint that keeps your spring and hanger working as one unit.
When worn factory bolts start showing their age, this is the simple swap that brings things back to spec. Its standard sizing and clean threads make it a direct fit for common hangers and equalizers, so you can refresh your suspension and get back to towing with confidence.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a real brief look at this Spring Eye Bolt for Slipper Springs. This one in one eighth inch in diameter spring retainer bolt is going to attach your slipper spring to your front hangar or equalizer. I do wanna point out that the locknut is sold separately, but you can find the compatible locknut under the related product section on this product page. Now, this is going to work with your 10,000 pound, 12,000 pound, or 15,000 pound Dexter Axle Equalizers. And again, the diameter is one and one eighth inches.
And let me go ahead and turn this around and give you the overall length. So measuring from the bottom of the bolt head to the bottom of the bolt itself, as you can see, we're sitting right at six inches. And the thread is seven threads per inch. And this is a grade five steel. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today.
I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

E Trailer made up the problem that USPS caused!
They did really good!
Even before I get to the review form I want to tell you I was "blown away" when I got a notice a very few hours after ordering that it was shipped.
Lori (I think her name is) was very helpful with wisdom about tires and searching for some hardware we couldn't exactly match but found some good enough. Gave me her number at end of first call in case I needed any more help and I did.
All arrived before noon. Over the years I have noticed that tire quality is often approximately reflected in visible details like the fit of the mold segments, amount of flash, the surface finish, crispness of fill. These are some of the prettiest tires I've ever seen that weren't top of the line Michelins, Pirellis or Bridgestones. I gave them a roll and a sharp eye and saw no wavers vertical or horizontal.
Of course the ultimate issue is price. I don't know how you do it. No store in Jacksonville can come close. Even Wal-mart.
Usually you are completely on top of your game. This time my company is slightly disappointed in the timeframe of events. We stock checked all parts prior to ordering but then found out after the order was placed some were not in stock. Nobody reached out to let us know the parts were out of stock or asked if we would like to have the rest of the order shipped while waiting for the remaining out of stock items. Once we called we were able to get things moving however the shipment still was not expedited and took an additional extra five days.
