Hello neighbors. Welcome back. I'm Steven here at etrailer.com, and today we're looking together at this Curt Overbed folding gooseneck ball trailer hitch with this custom installation kit. Now folks, again, this is a custom fit kit. Make sure you're using our website, etrailer.com. Go to the top center of our page, enter the year, make and model.

Make sure you're getting the right parts the first time. Now this particular guide fits a 1994 through 01 Dodge Ram pickup, both the short and long bed, and also a 2002 Dodge Ram pickup, both the 25 and 3,500 series and both long and short beds as well. Now this gooseneck trailer hitch is gonna be very, very good for your heavy duty towing needs. It's gonna have this fold down ball that allows you for an uninhibited use of your truck bed. Now as far as operation, I'm gonna show you this at three different angles.

We'll start with the closeup. You simply pull this lever here, it's spring loaded. You can kind of see the spring moving. Pull that outta the way. Pull up on the door here, pull the ball down.

There's some grooves inside of here, and that just slides right down inside of that pocket. Then you're ready to go. Now keep in mind, all of this is under the bed hidden. All you're seeing is basically from this plate, you know up. So you got your safety chain tie downs.

Those are spring loaded. To put it back up, you simply open the door back up with the pull handle here, grab the T-handle, pivots up, put this back down in place. Now if you don't have this, let's say, you let go here, that's not gonna go down all the way. That's not safe, that's not fully locked. It has to be flat and that has to be locked back out. Now, we're safe to tow. Now, swap into an overhead view. Same concept, pull the T-handle, again, that spring lever pulled outta the way. Pull this guy up. Keep in mind, I've got all this stuff just kind of loosely fitted. These are lock nuts. I don't wanna run them all the way in since they're a one time use deal. But again, pull that up, pivot the ball down. It'll pivot all the way. And you'll see there's these slots here. It's gonna sit into those tracks and there's a greaser here, that grease circ is used if you want to grease up the ball, help it pivot, that kind of stuff. And when you're done, you simply have it flat and you're ready to go. Again, let's spring loaded. Safety chain, tie down points, popping the ball up. Very simple, just pull the T-handle, pivot it up, close the door and you're ready to go. Nice and solid. Nice and safe. Now folks, this is a custom bolt-on installation. There is no welding, no drilling required. You simply just use the pre-existing holes in the trailer, in the vehicle frame. And these bolts here, two on the back, again, those are just loosely here. Those will be installed into the frame of the truck. All the black powder coated steel here is very, very nice. Very nice finish heavy duty steel. It's about, if I had to guess, probably at least three eighths of an inch thick here. So very, very sturdy. The whole thing is rated at 30,000 pounds. The vertical load limit on the sky is 6,000 pounds, and the ball size is your standard two and five 16th inch gooseneck ball. Now this kit has a nice seven year warranty, very impressive. It does come with some spacer blocks here. So those spacer blocks up here, those are for when you're installing the bracket tree to the frames of the truck. Those might be needed. You might need some, all, who knows, maybe none. Just follow the instructions. And this little piece of conduit looking pipe here, this is basically a spacer as far as getting the space between these two bars. This is exactly seven inch bar per the instructions. And just follow the instructions. You get a nice template here that tells you where to mark those holes for those bolts and everything before you drill to give you a nice template to drill through. And it's a nice heavy duty cardboard, cardstock piece of material there. So very nice. Very impressed with that too. So going back to the ball, everything with the ball, the T handles, all stainless steel. The safety pin here, all the pivot springs, all the springs in here, they're all stainless steel. So that's gonna ensure that you don't have to worry about rust, corrosion, buildup, that kind of stuff. Now again, everything else is solid steel with the powder coat finish. So very nice, very well made product, honestly. If you've bought curt stuff before, you know how good they are. They've been around for a long, long time. They make really, really good stuff.
