Your old gooseneck coupler made every hookup a chore. You'd slam it down, jiggle the handle, and still wonder if it was locked. This one drops on and clicks into place so you don't have to keep walking back to check it over and over.
With some couplers, you're never quite sure if they're secure. This Demco eZ-Latch coupler fixes that. Just drop it onto the ball and it latches itself. There are no extra steps involved. Once it's connected, you know it's going to stay put. And if you're leaving your trailer hooked up somewhere, the InfiniteRule lock (IR66FR - sold separately) keeps the latch from being opened so no one can pull up and take it.
Towing capacity is limited by the lowest rated component in your setup.
If you have a recessed gooseneck ball, there must be at least a 12" x 12" opening in your bed for this coupler to work. In addition, the top of the hitch ball cannot be more than 2" from the top of the bed.

Hello, everyone. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at our Shocker hitch gooseneck coupler with a Demco EZ Latch coupler. It's a 2 5/16-inch gooseneck ball that this fits, and it's a square design rated for 30,000 pounds capacity. So folks, this is a direct fit. It should just slide right up inside of that square gooseneck sleeve that you already have on your gooseneck trailer, and it's built for long bed clearances.
Now, again, with the Demco EZ Latch, you'll simply drop this on top of the ball, this lever's gonna automatically pop up, (lever clanging) and close back down, securing it on the ball. Now, unfortunately, I'm not gonna be able to show you that inverted like this, but I can lay this down. And then, I did have a ball that I pulled. Now, I just got a 2 5/16-inch ball. Obviously, you would have a true gooseneck, 2 5/16-inch ball, but I wanna show you how this works.
So again, the flapper is down, and then, you would be dropping this onto your ball and it's just gonna automatically do its thing. (ball clanging) Now, obviously, it's gonna have the weight, there we go. It's gonna have the weight of the trailer to help do that for you. It's gonna make it a little easier. But then, the only time you need to pull this up is whenever it's time to release and let the ball come off, at which point, then, you would do that.
Now, as you can see, it's got grease and everything already inside there from the manufacturer. So that's what you want. You wanna have grease on here, that way, it can spin on the ball freely and stuff. So I'm gonna set that aside. Again, the ball is not included.
Now, while I've got it flipped over, I'll try to give you a little view inside of there. You can kind of see that grease and everything. So again, that lever does not need to be manipulated by you at all. It's gonna do everything automatic, as far as hooking up. Unhooking it, that's when you would flip it up and unhook. You're gonna have four adjustment holes here. Those are spaced 2 3/4 inches apart on center to let you dial in your specific height that you need. And obviously, it's made of a thick steel, about 1/4 thick, and it's having a nice black powder coat finish on it that's gonna keep it from corroding and rusting anytime soon. As it says on the sticker, again, gross trailer weight, 30,000 pounds, max tongue weight, 6,000 pounds. And again, it's a 4 1/2 inch by 4 1/2 inch square tube design. Very easy install and the offset length is perfect! I also like the shift lock feature. I have already gotten a few compliments from other drivers only after a few hours of installing. I definitely will be converting all other couplers to this one! Thanks Etrailer team!
