Rated for a 30,000-lb gross towing weight and 7,500-lb tongue weight, the Curt EZr Double Lock Underbed Gooseneck Hitch is built for serious towing. The double-lock system uses two steel pins to hold the 2-5/16" chrome-plated ball in place instead of one, giving you extra security and confidence when hauling heavy equipment, livestock, or large trailers. The durable carbide black powder coat resists corrosion and keeps the hitch looking clean even after years of use.
Quick Bed Access When You’re Done Towing: Flip-Over Ball Design
When the trailer’s unhooked, just remove the chrome-plated ball, flip it upside down, and drop it back into the hitch for storage. The below-bed design leaves your truck bed clear for loading gear or supplies. A rubber cover seals off the ball hole to keep out dirt and grime, while the chrome ring around the opening gives it a finished, low-profile look.
Simple DIY Setup: Center Locator Eases Installation
The included center locator tool takes the guesswork out of drilling your 4" bed hole. Once the mounting kit is positioned, you drill up through the locator's pilot hole, then cut the main opening from above. When orange shavings appear, you know you’ve reached the right depth. This system eliminates measuring errors and makes installation straightforward—no welding or bed removal needed.
Secure and Convenient Operation: Wheel-Well Handle and Built-In Safety Chain Hooks
The comfort-grip handle mounts inside the wheel well for easy lock and release access from the side of the truck. Spring-loaded safety-chain hookups are built in with thick 5/8" loops that retract neatly when not in use. The locking mechanism is zinc plated for corrosion resistance, giving you a clean, strong setup that’s ready to tow whenever you are.

I will say on a 6.5 bed with dual exhaust on my diesel is was snug fitting under the truck to bolt it together, but that’s a me problem not a curt problem. Fit and functionality was perfect no complaints at all.

The hitch itself seems to be of good quality, well made, and there was no need to raise the bed of the pick up. Still, when it was delivered the box seams were open, the big parts were banging around, and the plastic bag containing all the small parts had broken open and the parts strewn about the interior. The ups guy and I picked up all the parts we could find on the driveway and thankfully I only had to make a couple of trips to the hardware store to buy what was lost. Had one of the custom pieces been lost, the 2 hour installation would have stretched into weeks. As it was, without a hoist and air tools it did take a couple of days. The video on this site was of immense help as the printed instructions were all too brief. I would suggest that the video incorporate wide shots periodically so the viewer can orient to the truck before going in for close ups.
Finding a 5/8" hole saw was no easy task either but I did find one eventually.
As always, its never as easy as it looks on TV.

The Curt EZr Double Lock Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch (C619-648) is a solid hitch and worthy of praise. Had no issues installing on 2006 Silverado 2500HD and fits frame/bed perfectly.

Your installation instructions are lacking details weakest part of the product. Shipping could use work too box was destroyed and bolts were missing from the open package

I’ll give the product 5 stars for the quality of the parts. Have not had a chance to install yet. Bought to replace my stuck rusty/crusty one that I’m not wasting my time trying to free up(has been stuck since I bought the truck). I’ll make sure to grease everything up well to prevent the same issue from reoccurring this time.

Nice clean look. Most importantly didn't have to lower exhaust. centering the hitch in the bed was easy because of the template provided. Although install did take longer than what was noted, it was fairly simple. Would definitely purchase again.

Great hitch, working great. Many, many miles on it dragging horses all over the Midwest. Only thing I did was coat locking pins and ball with anti-seize.

Seems heavy duty but the brackets hit the u-bolts and spring top plates. Curt told me I must of installed them wrong. I don't think so

I contacted Curt and they said that there is something different about your truck. I looked through our previous reviews on the matter and came across a similar situation as yours where the brackets hit the U-bolts. One of our experts said that the suspension may be worn and sitting lower than normal causing the issue. The customer then replied a year later saying that he installed air bags on his truck and the problem was resolved. I would check your suspension and see if this would be your solution as well.

Ive had curt goose neck hitch installed . Have to much play with ball one with ball bearing type. Can move it back & forth to much. Tried 3 balls same type all have play moves back & forth when towing. Put B&W hitch fits great no movement. Why cant I get just B&W ball with out buying kit

Great hitch and easy to use. I did have to lift up the bed a little bit to install it. Took me about 5 hours because of that but otherwise it is a great hitch. The rings for the safety chains stay on the bed and the ball flips over and stows away completely.

- What is the Difference Between the Curt C619-648 and Curt C60712?There are actually a couple differences between the Curt EZr # C619-648 and the Double Lock # C60712. The visible one will be that the safety chains on the # C60712 are not centered like the ones on the # C619-648. The difference that is not visible is the ball. The depth of the pins that hold the ball in place are different between the two.
