Video Transcript for Installing the WeatherTech 2nd Row Rear Auto Floor Mat on your 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe

Hi, Matt with etrailer. If you got kids or people that are constantly in the back of your vehicle, people which are kids who go outside, get a lot of dirt, snow, any sort of grime on their shoes, you wanna prevent that from staying or getting into your vehicle, then the WeatherTech Rear Auto Floor Mats are gonna be a great option for your 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe. So let's check them out. So the reason why these are a great fit for what we have today is, 'cause this is gonna be a custom fit for our vehicle. And you can really tell by how we have these contours to the floor mat. This is actually shaped to fit around anything that's really built into your vehicle, like our front seat here.

Now, we have the seat all the way pushed forward just to get a better look at this. So on average, the seat's wall is gonna be at this point, so you're gonna get a lot of coverage right there. I actually do like the way these fit, because we even have these little sidewalls on the side. And what that's gonna do is prevent a lot of debris from falling out and keeping it contained in here. Now, of course, we're gonna get a little bit of awkward spots, like right here, we have a little bit of a gap.

And that's gonna be normal when you first get them. What's gonna happen over time is, when people are sitting back here and their feet are pressing in on this, it's gonna start to learn its shape. And on those hotter days when this material really starts to loosen up, it'll start to form and really remember how your vehicle looks or feels. And we're gonna have these ridges or these little areas that rise up. And that's designed in such a way for your feet to sit on top of it and allow any of that dirt or grime to fall off and really stay in the mat and off your shoes.

And what's cool about these is it's all gonna be one piece. So we even have this point in the center that we're getting coverage on too. And there's definitely some pros and cons to this. What I like about it is we're getting that full coverage, so you don't really have to worry about anything really falling through the cracks. Now the con is, since this is all one piece, it's gonna be kinda difficult to take it out and clean.

And speaking of cleaning them, it's gonna be really simple to do. This material is very forgiving, all you have to do is really come by with a rag, wipe up any like spot cleans. Now, if you have a lot of debris on here, you're probably gonna wanna take it out and dump it. And right now, just got a little washer we have. I'm gonna throw it on here and really show you how difficult it is gonna be to try to remove this without that washer falling out. Since this is all one piece, it's really grabbing on here very well. And honestly, grabbing a friend might be your best option. Everything kinda loosened up. We'll try to remove it out of here. And you can tell at the angle that's at, some stuff's definitely gonna be spilling back in here. I'm just gonna slide this out of place until it's out all the way. But I was able to keep the washer in there, so that's definitely nice. So it's definitely doable to some degrees, but at some points, you're probably gonna have a little bit of spillage. But we can get a better look at this material. It is pretty flexible. What it is, it's gonna be made out of this more sturdier rubber, and it's gonna have this plastic core that's inside of it. Right now, what we have is this black mat and this black interior. I think that works pretty well. But if you have a different interior and this black's not gonna compliment it as well, then we're gonna have other colors available from that gray to a tan and this black that we have today.
