Video Transcript for How to Set Up Your WeatherTech Front Auto Floor Mats on a 2021 Ford Ranger

Hey, everybody, Cooper here from etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the WeatherTech Front Auto Floor Mats on our 2021 Ford Ranger. One of my favorite things about the WeatherTech floor mats is how easy they are to install. Since they're made of a nice durable rubber but yet it's still pretty flexible, all you have to do is just slip it right in, kind of let it find its resting place against all the moldings of your ranger, and then it's good to go. Taking a little bit closer look at our passenger side mat, we can really see how it helps fit the contour of our Ranger here on this sidewall and along the passenger seat. Now, as it comes fresh out of the box, you might see that's a little bit wobbly or might not fit some places as perfectly.

That's just how it's going to be coming outta the box. Over time, it will more or less settle into place and perfectly fit within your vehicle. Our passenger side does come with these anchor points even though our Ranger does not have anchor points on the passenger side. Thankfully, this kit does include the TechGrips which can replace the parts on the bottom here, which just gives them these spiked nubs on the bottom to just help secure it more into place. Since we don't have those factory points.

Coming over to the driver's side, we can see how it contours just as well as it did over on the passenger side, again, with some of this little gap here, but that will settle over time. The driver's side doesn't use these factory points though so we don't have to use the grips on this side. So the fact that it comes with both options available depending on how your car is is a really nice little bonus to it. Taking a look at how far up our WeatherTech mat sits under our pedals and comparing that to our factory piece here, we can see just how much additional coverage we are getting out of our WeatherTech mats just to help keep our vehicle a little bit cleaner for a little while longer. One thing I do really like about the WeatherTech floor mats is just how much coverage they offer over our factory mats, and the fact that they're made of this nice durable plastic, meaning that they're gonna stand up to years and years of tracking in all sorts of dirt and grime into our vehicle and being cleaned off.

If I could make one recommendation, I would recommend checking out the High Profile or HP Series from Weather Tech for the Ranger as well. The rubber just feels a little less plasticky and they settle down and place a little bit sooner out of the box compared to these, which kind of just feel like they're a little misshapen at the start.
