Hey, everyone, I'm Evangeline right here at etrailer. Today, we get to take a look at the WeatherTech third row floor mats. These are gonna be custom-fit mats specifically for the third row, and we'll take a look at it inside this 2025 Honda Odyssey. Whenever my friends get a new to them, a vehicle, they always ask me for floor mat recommendations because they understand how important it's to get those floors covered before they get dirty. So whenever I look at floor mats, especially custom-fit ones, I like to see how well do they fit, how well are they constructed and how useful will they be for using in your car Let's go. The custom-fit in here looks great.

Like, we have all these contours that go around all the different angles of our Odyssey. It definitely provides more coverage, compared to maybe a generic format that you might just drop into place. Now, my friends do sometimes mention that when they get their floor mat, it is a little floppy, like what you see here. That's totally normal, especially here in Missouri, it's wintertime, it's really cold. What I recommend doing is, when you get your floor mats, try to get them warm.

I turn up the heat in the car or set them out in the sun, and then that way when you put them in against your car, you'll see how they much better mold against the contours of the vehicle. Now, with this custom-fit design too, you can also see the construction of it and how it has these high walls. So versus a mat that just sits flat, this one has a bit of a lip to it. So if you have like your kids in the back and you know they're gonna be throwing cereal and all kinds of things onto this floor mat, this will help. For comparison, here are the flat cloth floor mats from Honda that we inchesre in the car, and here's the WeatherTech custom-fit floor mats.

So you can already see the difference in coverage between the mats and also those high walls that I was talking about. Now, there's nothing wrong with the cloth floor mats, but when you do get a lot of dirt and a lot of debris, it is nice to have more coverage and also more rigidity. That way, it's easier to take the floor mats out to clean it versus whenever I take out cloth floor mats, usually I end up dumping a little bit of the dirt back into the car. Here's a closer look at that material. You still have a little bit of texture on the format.

That way, there's a little bit of grip with your shoes, but then you also have these ridges and the valleys to help contain those puddles. And yes, it is a bit more of a rigid format, but there is a little bit of flexibility there still to again, contour around those corners, but also make it easier to install. So speaking of installation, I do recommend vacuuming out your tire if possible before you install floor mats. These will just drop right in, push up against those corners, and that's gonna be it. So, you already have a new floor mat. Definitely an upgrade compared to no floor mat. I personally really enjoy WeatherTech floor mats. In fact, I've had them in my own car for a couple years now. I especially like how custom-fit they are. They're usually the first ones to have a custom-fit for all the different parts of the car. For example, this is the third row. They also have format options for the second row or the first row, or even the cargo area. So if you wanna fully protect the interior of your Honda Odyssey, this is a great way to do so.
