Video Transcript for Setting up the WeatherTech Front Auto Floor Mats on your 2012 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on this 2012 Subaru Outback wagon, we're going to show you WeatherTech auto front floor mats, part number WT442591. We look at the black color today. This is also available as gray as part number WT462591 and tan, part number WT452591. This is what the floor liners look like when they're installed in the vehicle. Our initial take on it, covers up from the edge of the carpeting here and around the gas tank latch, up to the center console. As you can see, it reaches the contour around this component here, and it has a raised edge protection as well just in case anything gets wet on the inside. We can also tell that it uses the attaching 00:00:45 points to keep it in place. There's 2 of them in this particular vehicle.

It has a raised edge that meets the shape of the floor at the bottom here. That raised edge gets higher and higher as it goes towards the center console and out towards your pedals. It does go underneath the brake pedal, but it has a cutout for the gas pedal. You can see up right around here. That should be more than enough because it's got a raised edge about at least a couple of inches in height. Also about half of the foot rest is covered up as well too. Let's move over to our passenger's side and we'll check out the fit on here.

You can see same thing follows. It goes all the way from the front of the seat here all the way up underneath the dash, and then it goes up probably about 2/3rds of the way. It's got generous coverage on the center console area here. Also it meets up to the carpeting on the edge here. If your shoes are wet, everything's going to lie into this pocket right here and fall in between the channels of these ribs right here as well. It does have a textured finish on the floor mat that does give your shoes something to grip against too.

This is also a cringe 00:01:57 type of material that's going to last you a very long time in the car. Let's take a look on the bottom here. It has a smooth surface, but it is a little bit on the grippy side. This is designed to work with the factory carpet. If you have any other pre-existing mats or liners in there, they need to go, because this is engineered and designed to work with this contour floor exactly. This is easy to work with. If you take a look at here, they're easily cleaned.

To get them all moneyed 00:02:26 up, let's go ahead and pull them out, knock the dust and mud off of them.
