Easily plug this custom harness into your towed car to get the turn and brake signals you need for flat towing. Unlike other kits out there, this harness protects your vehicle from electrical feedback without you needing to splice in extra diodes.
When you're towing a car behind your motorhome, you'll need a way to get the tail, brake, and turn signals from your RV to the car to be safe and legal. This kit plugs into factory ports on your vehicle so your car can display the electrical signals coming from your motorhome. That way everyone on the road knows what your rig is up to as you tow.
This is a completely plug-and-play option for your vehicle, so the installation of this kit will be quick and easy.
While this kit has everything you need to get your towed car wired and ready, you'll still need some gear to get moving. To connect to your RV's electrical, you'll need an umbilical, and you'll need to make sure the plugs on that cord match the ones on your RV as well as the 4-way that's now on your car. If your RV has a 7-way, C57271 is a great option.
Something else to think about is whether or not you need a brake light relay. If your car's brake lights illuminate when the engine is off, you'll need to install a relay (RM-88400 - sold separately) to make sure the brake signal overrides the turn signal sent by your RV when you're slowing down to turn while towing.
And of course, there are a ton of other parts and accessories that will make towing your vehicle easy. Feel free to shop around our site or drop us a line if you have any questions. And once you get all set up, don't forget to send us a review full of pictures so we can see your rig out on the open road!

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Blue Ox EZ Light tow bar wiring kit for the Jeep Liberty and Dodge Nitro vehicles. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2007 to 2012 Jeep Liberty and the Dodge Nitro. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for your application. Now, when you're towing a vehicle behind your motor home, you're gonna need a way to get the tail, brake, and turn signals from that motor home to the vehicle to be safe and legal.
This kit here will plug into your factory connectors that are on your vehicle to connect the electrical signals from the motor home to the vehicle. It is a complete plug and play option for your vehicle, so the installation of this kit's pretty quick and easy. And this is a complete kit, includes everything laid out here on the table, includes all the hardware and installation components you're gonna need, including detailed instruction. Now, some of the components will be this converter box, comes with the connectors and the four-way wiring that goes to the front of the vehicle. When you get to the front of the vehicle, you'll have this four-way connector.
Instead of just leaving it hanging, actually include a four-way flat mounting bracket and that bracket comes with the hardware right there. So once you get it, you can hook it up there and keep that four-way from hanging around. And also comes with a four-way cover that you're can attach to this. And when you're not being plugged in, you can put that cover over the terminals to protect them from any damage or from the elements. Comes with a little packet of terminal grease to put on all your electrical connection.
Comes with some cable ties that take up any slack in any wiring. And it even comes with a grounding screw 'cause if you notice on this four-way, there's a white wire with an eyelet on it, that needs to connect to a good clean ground nearby. If there's one, you can use it. If not, they do give you a grounding screw to make your own. Now to install this, it's fairly simple.
What you'll do is start at the back of the vehicle and you'll start with the driver's side and you'll take the connector that has the yellow wire, that's for the driver's side, and you'll run this behind to the taillights, unplug it, plug this into the back of the taillights. And then you'll have this other wire with a length of wire and a green wire. The green wire means it's passenger side. So basically you'll run this wire all the way over to the passenger side, plug this in behind the taillights, and then you're gonna take this length of the four-way wiring and run that all the way up to the front. Now, they do include these cable ties if you need to take up any slack of the wiring that runs up there. And as we mentioned, once you get to the front, install your mounting bracket so you can put your four-way in there. Again, if you wanna use your cover, you can do that on there. And use the terminal grease for all your electrical connections. Now, always remember, if you have any questions regarding this product or any of our products, please don't hesitate to contact us via phone, chat, or email. Or if you've purchased any product from us, please send us pictures of it being used in your application 'cause we'd love to see those products working out for you or how they're working out for you.
