You step on your plastic floor vent and it cracks or sinks in, catching your foot or sock every time you pass. This metal replacement vent covers the opening with rolled edges that keep feet from catching and holds its shape where plastic ones fail.
Broken or sharp vent edges catch your foot, socks, or anything passing over them. This vent uses rolled edges around the opening. You step across it without catching or scraping against exposed edges.
Plastic vents crack or bend after repeated use. This vent uses metal construction to maintain its shape. You step across it and it stays flat over the opening instead of flexing or breaking.
Replacement vents need to match the existing cutout to install correctly. This vent fits a 2" x 10" opening. You set it in place and align it with the existing floor cutout.
Flat openings do not direct airflow through the space. This vent uses fixed, rolled ribs angled for circulation. Air moves through the vent and into the room instead of dispersing at the opening.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this brown RV floor vent. Now this is a replacement for the floor vents that come in most RVs, whether they're steel or plastic, so you're not gonna have to modify anything. It's just gonna fit right into that existing spot. So what's nice about this design is the vent is fixed. The rolled ribs are angled in a way that are gonna help move air more efficiently through your RV or camper.
So you're gonna get better circulation, instead of air just sitting in one place. And giving some you overall measurements here. The overall, what we're calling length, is gonna be pretty close to 11 and a half inches. And the width is pretty close to about three and three quarters inches, almost four inches. And then let me get my ruler for the cutout.
That's a little more manageable here. So looking at the cutout, it looks like we're sitting right at about 10 inches long, and then the width, about two inches or so. So this is built to handle everyday use. The construction is sturdy enough to stand up to foot traffic, which is important since this is on the floor. Plus the edges are rounded, so this is gonna look clean and finished, rather than sharp or industrial.
The way that it looks, let me say that, I think I can say that better, this has a brown powder coat finish, which not only makes this durable and resistant to wear, but it's gonna blend in well with most RV interiors and installation's gonna be really easy. This comes with pre-drilled holes as you see here, so you're just gonna be able to screw this into place. One thing to note, this does not come with any hardware, so you could probably reuse your current hardware or you just have to pick up the appropriate screws locally. Overall though, this is gonna be a simple upgrade. It's gonna improve both the look and the functionality and the durability of your RV floor vent system helping with airflow.
I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

My original plastic vents were breaking and wanted metal floor vents with smaller openings so stuff couldn't easily slip or fall through.
