Hey, guys. Randy here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Cargo Smart line of storage baskets. Now, these have been designed to work with etrack, xtrack, and they really provide a good storage solution that we haven't had in the past. These are available in a couple of different sizes. This one happens to be 12X6, and it's going to be six inches deep.
This ones are larger more narrow one. This one's 24 inches wide. It's going to be six inches deep, and going this way we're looking at 12 inches. Then we also have an in between. This one's going to be 20 inches wide.
It's going to be 12 inches deep, so it sticks out about twice as far as what we're looking at here, and overall it's going to be 18 inches deep, so from top to bottom we're going to pick up about six additional inches.As you can see, these give us a nice storage solution. We've got a lot of our rope rings, and stuff like that, our connection points in our smaller one here. Holds those very well. As we get into the larger ones, we're going to see the opening gets a little bit wider, a little bit bigger, so you want to be sure to be storing larger items in those as compared to this smaller basket here. It's going to have the smaller openings.Now, as far as attachment goes, for the smaller basket you're going to have just a single etrack connector.
See that tab on the top that we're used to with our etrack or xtrack. Pop that in, pull it up, and we can pull it out. You can see that's going to give us a little bit of flexibility there, allows our basket to move just a little bit, but it also makes it easy when trying to get it in. To do that, we pull that tab, up, push the bottom in, and then push it straight down. Just like that.On the two larger styles, we're going to have two of those connectors that are of course going to work in the same way.
Something else I like . You can see we got our cleaning supplies, our gloves in here. So, you get this down. It's actually going to have a handle on each end there, so we can get all those supplies out to where we need them. When we're done, easily carry it back in, and put it back up into position.Overall, we got a nice, sturdy steel construction. You see everything here's nice a solid. No flex, or give to it really, unless you squeeze on it really hard, I guess. It's going to have that gray paint finish to it. It gives us a nice clean look.Now, there are also storage bins that are similar to this in design, but they're going to be a black plastic, or a solid material on the outside. I think those have their pluses and their minuses, just like these. I think these are going the provide us with better visibility. We're going to be able to see what's down in there. We won't have to dig through quite as much to get what we're looking for. I also like the open air design, so right here, if we go out and polish our car we got some wet rags. We can throw those in there. The air's going to be able to get to those and dry them out, rather than maybe just pooling down here in the bottom.That's going to complete our look at the Cargo Smart storage baskets.
