After a long day running trolling motor, electronics, and engine systems, one battery always lags behind. This 5-bank charger shifts power where it's needed most, so all batteries recharge efficiently and are ready by morning.
When you're running a large trolling motor setup alongside engine systems, and a house battery, charging performance can't fall behind. This charger is built around a 50-amp, 5-bank design that automatically distributes power using Distributed-On-Demand technology. It senses battery demand and can deliver up to 18 amps per bank, shifting available output where it's needed most. Instead of splitting power evenly, it prioritizes the batteries that need it most, helping bring all five to a full charge in 4 to 8 hours and reducing downtime between trips.
When fast turnaround is critical, standard charging can feel limiting. TurboCharge mode works with forced induction Power Flow Cooling to maximize output and reduce charge times while maintaining consistent performance. The tri-surface aluminum heat sink keeps temperatures in check, so the charger can run at full power without overheating. This combination is built for situations where batteries need to be ready again as quickly as possible.
Checking battery status shouldn't require opening compartments or tracing connections. The charge status AC glow plug provides a visible indication of charging, conditioning, or maintenance status from outside the boat. A dual function digital LED battery status monitor with push-to-test capability lets you check battery levels on demand, including while on the water. Built-in self test diagnostics with system check and individual battery bank fault indicators help confirm proper operation and quickly identify issues when they come up. For added visibility, the charger is prewired to accept an optional wired remote (PM55ZR - sold separately) that can be mounted in an easy-to-view location.
High-performance battery systems require the correct charging profile to avoid reduced performance or premature wear. This charger includes selectable profiles with temperature compensation for Flooded, AGM, HP AGM 1, HP AGM 2, and approved LiFePO4 batteries. The full output 5-stage charging system moves through Analyze, Charge, Condition, Auto Maintain, and monthly Storage Recondition modes, then continues monitoring to maintain battery health over time. This allows the charger to adapt to a wide range of battery configurations without manual intervention.
Chargers installed onboard need to handle constant exposure to moisture, vibration, and heat. This unit features IP67 rated waterproof construction for fresh and saltwater applications, along with ignition protection and built-in safeguards against over-temperature, over-current, over-voltage, reverse polarity, and fuse-related faults. Pre-wired 6 foot DC cables simplify installation, while the overall system is designed to deliver consistent charging performance in demanding marine environments.

Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look together at the ProMariner ProTournament Elite 500 Battery Charger. So if you're running a serious multi-battery setup, one of the biggest problems is that you're probably gonna have to keep those batteries full and charge them every single night. And no one likes to come out early morning, ready to go out for a tournament or a job, then to find out, "Dang it, I'm out of power." So that's where this is gonna come into play. This is a ProTournament Elite Series 3 500, it's been built to solve that very issue. As you can see, you've got a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5-bank setup.
You do have an optional cable here that you can add on an additional feature, sold separately if you want to in the future. It's basically gonna be a connection for a portable screen if you will or an indicator. It does have an onboard one, but maybe you don't wanna keep looking in your compartment. You can then run something that mounts right up there by your steering system, wherever you're piloting your boat from and stuff as well. So that's a sold separate item that you can look into.
This is a 50-amp onboard marine battery charger. What I love is that it is working on every battery out there pretty much. So it's gonna auto detect. Even if you have different kinds of batteries, it's gonna auto detect which one is which, based on that connection, and give it the right charge that it needs. So great for fishing boats, tournament fishing boats, trolling motor systems, cranking batteries, house and accessory batteries.
And another cool feature is that this plug right here, this 120 volt outlet, that is clear and it's a glow plug. So you're also gonna be able to visibly see this glow and let you know if it's in charging condition or maintenance status from outside the boat. So again, when you plug in after a hard day on the water, this will let you see exactly what's going on as well. And this is pretty much a one and done setup, I like to call it, so meaning it's a permanent install. Once you get this hooked up the first time, it's on board, it's in its position, it's gonna do its thing automatically.
And it's nice and small, it's only 14 3/4 inches long, 9 5/16 inches wide, and about 4 1/4 inches thick or tall, depending on which angle you're looking at it from. And I got it kinda angled here, just so we can kinda see the front a little better. But as you can see, this is all watertight, it's been IP67 sealed waterproof rating. It's got a force cooling and heavy-duty aluminum heat sink design, so it's made to handle moisture, vibration, real-world boating conditions, you know, all them waves and stuff that are crashing around you. This can take a beating, and it's still gonna keep performing day after day. So again, a great option for you. This is the ProMariner ProTournament Elite 500 Battery Charger. I'm Steven with etrailer. Thanks for watching.
