Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your Ford F-350 Super Duty with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting or splicing required.
Features:
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper, near your spare tire on the driver's side.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Hopkins plug-in simple vehicle wiring harness with a 4 pull flat trailer connector. This product fits certain years of Ford F250 and F350. You can use the vehicle fit guide located at etrailer.com to see if this is a fit for your vehicle. It's going to provide a 4 way flat connector at the back of the vehicle to power your trailers signal lights. This is compatible with 5 pull, 6 pull, and 7 pull adaptor. Adapters are sold separately.
It comes with the dust cap for the 4 way flat connector. That way you can cover up the connection points when your plug is not being used. Now, this unit's designed to connect quickly and easily. All you got to do is, locate the connection point behind the rear bumper and plug in your connector right here. Very quick and easy to do. Custom fit for your vehicle, so it's going to match up perfectly with the plug on the vehicle.
Then you'll need to make a ground connection, that's the white wire with the ring terminal already attached to it. You want to get that grounded to a nice clean metal surface with the included grounding screw. Then you can use the zip-ties that are provided with the kit to secure any excess or slack in your wiring. Now, once your installation is complete, the 4 way connectors are going to be stored beneath the vehicle near the trailer hitch. We do recommend using a mounting bracket to keep the connectors secure and easily accessible. Mounting brackets are sold separately.
It's also recommended that you use a small amount of terminal grease on all of your electrical connections. Like the plugs on the vehicle and the 4 pull connector itself to help prevent corrosion. The terminal grease is included with the kit. That's going to do it for today's look at the Hopkins plug-in simple vehicle wiring harness with a 4 pull flat trailer connector.
