Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hopkins Plug In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with a four pull flat trailer connector. This products fits a 1973 to 1984 Chevrolet and GMC's CK series pick up, Chevrolet and GMC's Suburban, Chevrolet Blazer, and GMC Jimmy. You can use the vehicle fit guide located at etrailer.com to ensure that this is a fit for your vehicle. It's gonna provide a four way flat connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailers signal lights. This is compatible with five pull, six pull, and seven pull adapters, adapters are sold separately. And it's gonna come with a dust cap for the four way flat connector. It just simply goes over the plug, it's got grooves on it that hold it in place.

And then when your connection's not being used, you can place the plug over it, and that just provides some protection to those terminals. The unit does feature protective connection terminals to resist corrosion. It's designed to connect quickly and easily, you don't have to worry about cutting or splicing any wires. Just located the connection point behind the rear bumper, and then you're gonna plug in this connector to the connection point on the vehicle, it is custom fit for your vehicle, and then the four way connector's is gonna plug into the side here, and then you can wrap the wiring back to the receiver tube of the hitch or close to the hitch, that way your connection point's is always easily accessible. The white wire with the ring term on it, that's your ground connection so you need to get that grounded to a subtile grounding location with the included grounding screw. And then you can secure any excess or slack in your wires with the included cable ties. Now once your installation's complete, the four way connector's gonna be stowed beneath the vehicle near the trailer hitch.

We do recommend using a mounting bracket to keep the connector secure. Mounting brackets are sold separately. It's also recommended that you use a small amount of terminal grease in all your connection points like the plugs on the vehicle, and the four pull connector itself to help prevent corrosion.
