Wiring a trailer normally means stripping wires and making connections by hand, but this harness skips all that. The Curt T-Connector plugs straight into the vehicle’s existing wiring and gives you a 4-flat trailer connector. No splicing or figuring out wire colors—just plug it in and it’s ready to work.
When it’s time to tow, the 4-flat plug delivers the basics—running lights, turn signals, and brake lights—through one clean connector. It’s the standard setup most small trailers and utility haulers use, so your lights will work exactly the way they should.
The harness tucks neatly out of sight, keeping things looking tidy and protecting the wiring from the elements. Once installed, only the 4-flat plug is exposed when you’re towing, and it stays out of the way when you’re not.
Even if your vehicle didn’t come with a tow package, this plug-and-lead harness gives you what you need to connect a trailer. It’s a straightforward way to add trailer lighting without adding a converter or extra hardware.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with the 4 pole flat trailer connector. This product fits certain years and models of the Chevrolet HHR, Chevrolet Cobalt, Pontiac G5, Pontiac Pursuit, and Pontiac Pursuit G5. Now, to double check or make sure this is a fit for your vehicle, you can use the vehicle fit guide located at E-trailer.com. This is going to provide a 4 way flat connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. It it compatible with 5 pole, 6 pole and 7 pole adapters. Adapters are sold separately.
It's going to come with a dust cap for the 4 way flat plug, that way you can cover up the connection points when it's not being used. This is designed to connect quickly and easily. You don't have to worry about cutting or splicing any wires. Just locate the connection points behind the tail lights. You're going to have plenty of wiring to make your connections. These are going to be custom fit connection points, so they're going to match up perfectly with the ports on the vehicle.
The connector with the green wire goes to the passenger side. The connector with the yellow wire goes to the driver's side. Once you have those located, and once you have those plugged in, you'll need to make a good ground connection. That's your white wire with the ring terminal attached to it. Inside the packet that comes with the kit is going to be a grounding screw so you can easily get that mounted. Then you'll need to secure any excess wires with the included cable ties, so if you have any slack or excess, you can secure those up and out of the way, keeping them safe.
Once your installation is complete, the 4 way connector is going to be stowed in an out of the way location within your cargo area. It is recommended that you use a small amount of dielectric grease on all your electrical connections, like the plugs on the vehicle and the 4 pole connector itself to help prevent corrosion. That grease is sold separately, so if you need some, you can find it right here at Etrailer.com. The kit also comes with detailed installation instructions to help walk you through the entire process step by step. That's going to do it for today's look at the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with the 4 pole flat trailer connector.
