Note: Do not use for overhead lifting. This load binder is designed to work as part of a complete tie-down system. The overall capacity depends on the safe working load limit (WLL) of the chain(s) that you choose, as well as the capacity of the load binder itself. The item being tied down must not exceed the combined WLL of the lowest-rated components in the system.

Hello, neighbors. Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our durable Ratchet Chain Binder with Grab Hooks. And this one's gonna be for three eighth to one half inch chains, rated 15,000 pounds. So folks, if you've never used one, a ratcheting chain binder as they're called, simply does just like I said. It's gonna bind the chain.
You're gonna wrap these hooks one or more on two different sides of the chain that you want to tighten up and tension up, maybe like a bobcat or something on a heavy duty trailer. Then you simply hold the center and it'll ratchet. And then when it's ratcheted, it's twisting this main barrel shaft here and that's tightening up these guys on the end, and then pulling everything tight and tightening that chain. This lever here is a nice simple pawl, as they call it. P-A-W-L.
And that lever is gonna flip like I just did. And then you can go the opposite way, so when it's time to loosen it up and stuff. So always be mindful of the handle whenever you're tightening or loosening, and be safe please at all times. It is a nice red powder coat finish over top of a nice high strength forged steel and oversized barrel, or acme screw system, as they call it. It is easy to use, and the ends have been zinc plated.
They are forged steel as well. And the grab hooks have nice flat throat, as they call them, and that's gonna let that chain slide in there much easier. Now as you can see, the thing's pretty big. It is different lengths, depending on if the screws are screwed in or out. I'll put those measurements up on the screen for you.
It is rated for 15,000 pounds safe workload limit. Now it does meet a couple of different standards, such as DOT, FMCSA 40, CHP, CVSA, and WSTDA standards as well. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up. Just a quick look at this nice Ratchet Chain Binder with Grab Hooks. I'm Steven. Thanks so much for watching. And as always, stay safe while you're towing.
