Right here is the Trimax Thex Super Chain. This is gonna be a cable lock for your bike. And it's gonna have a combination as well. It has five combination numbers on there, which is gonna be harder for someone to guess that number. Underneath our nylon string, we're gonna have a hardened steel chain that goes all the way through. And then it is gonna be a lot stronger than some of the cable locks, just because it's hardened steel and it's triple heat treated.
So, what that's gonna get you is, six tons of pull strength. And then it's gonna be 11 tons of cutting strength. So, they're really gonna have to work for it to cut this chain. The whole idea here is just to have the lock that looks a little bit more beefier than the other bikes around it. Just to deter those thieves to maybe the other bikes.
And I definitely think this is gonna be the hardest of all of them to really cut through. The Thex cable that we're looking at right here, is only three foot long. So it's a little short. This one right here is 10 foot long. You're not gonna get the thick, heat treated steel links on this one.
So, it's gonna be not as strong. But if you like the combination, it will give you that extra length and the combination as well. But, a lot of you're wondering if you pair this up with another one to make it a little bit longer. You can, but then you're gonna have to deal with two different combinations. So what you could do, if you want that extreme security, you can grab a bigger chain, like this.
And what you could do with that. You have multiple bikes and you only want to use one combination for all of them, you can pair it up with the TriMax combination lock. I just like the combos. It is pretty short for some bike racks and some bikes. But when it comes to just locking it up wherever you're at, I think it's the perfect length. Cause you don't want a whole lot. It's gonna be sloppy to carry around. So this, is a perfect amount of length for me to loop it through multiple parts of my bike frame. And lock it in. Another question that you guys we're wondering, is how durable is the nylon slip over top of it It's gonna be pretty tough. It's pretty much like a ratchet strap material. And it's not really gonna wear down over time. It's pretty much there just to prevent any damage to your bike, if it gets jostled around on the road. Or however else. So let's show you how to reset it. So outta the box, it's gonna be 0, 0, 0. It pulls apart. And then notice this part right here. The hole lines up with the shape. But what we wanna do is rotate it where this arrow goes, where that set number, letter right here is gonna be facing up. Once that's done, we can switch it around. So I'll just do 48. 48. And maybe just another four. So once you set it, make sure it's in line with this little notch right here. We're gonna rotate this back, counterclockwise. And then, we can put it in there. And it's not going to lock into place until we scramble that code. So go like this, scramble it up. And we are locked and loaded. Combination locks for your bike are the best way to go. In my opinion. Just because all you have to do is remember the numbers. You don't have to keep track of a key. Especially when you're a very mobile person. When it comes to using your bike. You're pretty much just going out to go eat. Or also for your rec stuff. I just like the combination lock. And this one having five is gonna be the most secure. That's pretty much it for a look at the TriMax Thex Super Chain..
