It's that time of year. I always change out my cabin air filters on the inside of the vehicle. After every season. It's about fall. I usually do it now and I'm gonna do it roughly around springtime as well. So let's take the old one out.
This is a 2014 Honda CRV. So what you want to do is just access your glove compartment So the glove compartment you're gonna wanna completely empty everything out. And then once everything's clear here you're just gonna take these sides and kind of just push it in a little bit. It's gonna come down a decent amount but then look on this side near the door. So this, you're gonna push it this way and it's gonna unhook like that and it'll come all the way down.
So now we have a little bit more access. Always take a look at the arrows here. Air flow goes down and then there's gonna be a little tab on this side. We're gonna pull this off. And also on this side it comes right out.
Again, air flow facing down. And as you can see, one, it was kind of shoved in here so that's not helping with the flow. And two, it's kind of gross looking. You can already see the difference. That's only like a couple months here at etrailer we do these videos a lot, so we swap these out a lot.
It just helps with allergies, pollen and everything. So now we wanna just match the airflow arrows with what we had before. And I'm probably gonna put this in a little bit more gently than before. So it's nice and even and not really that smashed. And then we can take this cap and replace it. Pretty simple stuff. Now we can just bring this back up connect our little latch again, and we're done. Not a whole lot to it. It took me maybe like two or three minutes to do. And I think it's very, very important especially if you just get a car. Definitely change it out. Also throughout the seasons, if you have bad allergies this is going to help a lot. One airflow is gonna be better and it's gonna be more pure. So you and your kids are gonna breathe in better air than before..

This poor quality cabin filter doesn’t even fit the space for it and it’s way below OEM quality. Now, it that weren’t enough it came looking like a rodent had peed on it!
