Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we'll be taking a look at our best top spares tire covers. This comes in different shapes, and different sizes, and different colors. So make sure you check out our different product pages here at etrailer to find the best fit for you and your Jeep. So that spare tire behind your Jeep is not only there to look cool and sporty, but if anything happens to any of your tires, you're ready to switch 'em out real quick. So you wanna make sure that your spare tire is protected so that in case of an emergency, you're ready to go.
That's where a spare tire cover like this comes in handy. So we'll take a look at some of the different materials, some of the different measurements to see if this is gonna be the right fit for you and your adventures. We have some different color options for you, and that's important because they actually chose the color options to match the colors of your Jeep. So, what we have here is the black diamond version, but some other options for you could be a brown, which is called spice. So, the size options of course depend on the size of the spare tire behind your Jeep or on your trailer, wherever you wanna re-use these covers. So the size I have here is 255, 7018 and I'm using the cover in extra large. We actually have the exact spare tire sizes on our product pages, it will help you match up which one works for you. Those can range from size small, all the way to the size extra, extra, extra large. The fabric itself is made of a mildew and UV resistant fabric, which is important when you're outside, you wanna make sure that UV resistance protect it from the sun, prevents it from coming apart.
Now, for that mildew resistance is even if it rains, even if it snows, you should be okay. There's this industrial strength threading, and that's what creates that custom fit better than just those universal fit covers that go around. Now, this also makes it important for making sure you get the right size for your wheel because of that fit. This has an elastic band which allows it to cinch around your tire. I actually left this on top, that way it's easier to see, but definitely have this underneath your wheel so that that rain and that water does not come in.
I wish it overlapped a little bit more, but again, if you have it underneath, that will still help out. This has a very tight fit around your tire though. So definitely something you keep in mind, it's tricky to get it over and back off of your tire, but with it off, let's take a closer look at the material on the inside. The backing is made of this cotton. So just a different material from the outside. The cotton is important because that's what's touching your tire. You wanna make sure it's nice and plush. Notice that does get dirty though, but that should be okay since it will be on the inside of your cover and not the outside. A quick comparison between our best top cover and a universal wheel cover is that there are some improvements when it comes to design. This one is a lot more custom fit, this just has an elastic that goes around, and on the inside you have that cotton versus the universal one which is a more rough texture. Now, this was easier to put onto our real tire compared to the best top version, but once they're on there, this definitely looks better than something that's universal. So my personal thoughts about this spare tire cover is it's ideal if you want those different size and color options. There is a more premium spare tire cover though that we offer here at etrailer. That's gonna be the rampage spare tire cover, that actually exactly matches the soft pop fabric of your Jeep and it's easier to put on, but you don't have as many color options as this, and you don't have as many size options either. So if you have a smaller tire or a larger tire than usual, this might be the best option for you since you still get those premium features with the cotton backing, the nice, strong exterior, as well as that custom elastic fit around your spare tire to protect it.
