Features to know about

Install Without Drilling: Custom-Fit Frame Mounts

These front tie-downs bolt directly to your truck’s frame using pre-existing holes, so there’s little to no drilling and no need to alter anything. The brackets mount tight against the frame with minimal loss of ground clearance, keeping everything tucked up and out of the way. Once the removable arms are off, the brackets are barely noticeable, giving your truck a clean look when you’re not hauling a camper.

Smooth Handling on the Road: Frame-Mounted Stability

Because these tie-downs secure directly to the frame, your camper’s weight is distributed evenly across the truck’s strongest points. That lowers the center of gravity and prevents the top-heavy sway that comes from rail or bumper mounts. The result is a solid, stable ride that feels just like driving without a camper, even on long trips or uneven terrain.

Built to Last: Aluminum and Stainless Steel Construction

The TorkLift Talon tie-downs combine rustproof aluminum arms with rugged stainless steel receiver brackets for a balance of strength and light weight. They stand up to harsh weather and rough conditions thanks to a high-impact powder coat finish that protects against chips and corrosion. This mix of materials gives you heavy-duty performance without unnecessary weight—each front set weighs just 27 lbs.

Ready for Secure Hookup: Adjustable Connection Points

Each arm has two pin holes so you can fine-tune how far it extends from the body, clearing fenders or sidewalls for a clean line to your camper anchors. Two holes in the attachment plate help you find the best angle for your turnbuckles (sold separately), letting you tension everything evenly for a solid hold that keeps the camper steady mile after mile.

Easiest installation available. These fit perfect and attach just as instructed. The only issue you may have to watch is that on some truck frames, mine being one of them, Ford covers one of the holes with a black sticker that states, "No Mounting Bracket". In my case, the writing on this sticker on the passenger side frame was covered by a film of road grime and I had problems even finding the hole to dry fit the bracket until I cleaned off the frame with solvent. The actually TorkLift kit fits the frame perfectly though.

I just finished installing the front tie-downs and am really happy with the results. Although the instructions directed me to remove one e-cable bracket, I removed both e-cable brackets on the driver's side to get enough slack to slide the bracket behind the e-cable. See the pictures. Instructions were easy to follow. Many thanks to big A for the extra hands, impact tool and torque wrench!

The actually TorkLift kit fits the frame perfectly though. The passenger rear bracket is very close to the exhaust pipe so when diesel particulate filter regeneration cycle begins, it will melt the label off the bracket but does not appear the even burn the paint on it so should still be OK, just be aware when unhooking the tie down from the bracket as it could be very hot.

I ordered Camper tie-downs for my new Ram 2500. I erroneously ordered TDL2126A for the front. They wouldn't clear the nurfs. A quick call confirmed that I would need the TDL2127A. I had to pay for the 27As up front and hope when I returned the 26As on an rmer I would receive prompt refunds. Imagine my surprise when they notified me that they received my return and the refund was on its way. These guys are super, especially Brenden C.
ps the Aluminum tie downs are great and the happy jacks awesome!

It's a little tricky feeding the bolts through the frame (almost lost one, but a little tape on the bolt/spring helped), but a great product otherwise. The mounting scheme for my Chevy 2500 HD is strong and ingeniously designed. No drilling or welding. The aluminum won't rust like other tie-downs mounted to the frame. It was well worth the extra money to get the aluminum version of this product.

About a year ago, I purchased the aluminum Talon Torklift Frame-Mounted Front and Rear Camper Tie-Downs. The install was easy taking the better part of a day including a little help from a local automotive mechanic to loosen and retorque the truck’s leaf spring bolts. The Tie-Downs have worked great since installed with no issues. I highly recommend them.

by:

I purchased front & rear TorkLift Frame mounts. Thay worked great and safer than bed mounts.

by:

The tie-downs were a bit difficult to install for a novice but if you follow instructions closely they did install as outlined in the instructions. They are lightweight and have held my camper in place very well. I am happy with this purchase.

by:

I bought the Torklift camper tie downs for my new 2017 Ram 3500 dually. I haul a Lance 850 slide in truck camper. They came today and I installed them in about 4 hours. (I work slow) I bought the Aluminum ones so I don't have to worry about any rust. They look great and like the Torklift that was on my old truck I am sure they will give me great service.

This is my second set of Torklift tie downs. Like the first, these are excellent. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the annoying quality control in the packaging. My front tie downs came with only 1 bolt fisher, not the required 3! I was able to complete the install using the bolt fisher from the set of rear tie downs. I was able to install the C bolt without the fisher. One of the lock washers was the wrong size...not a big problem for a shop install but I had to make a trip to the local hardware store before I could finish the project. Lastly I had to cut off the passenger side bed bolt in order to get a socket on the B bolt to torque it down....again, not a problem for a shop install but irritating for this 70+ guy on his back in the driveway! *Aside from all this..I love the product!

by:

The rear mounts were easy to mount. The only problem the package was missing 4 flat washers. I also just received the Front mounts. They were a little harder to mount by myself. Some advice is to watch the install on [video]. I ended up using a floor Jack to hold the mounts.

by:

After installing them we put our newly purchased truck camper on the truck and took a trip from New York to Louisianna. They did their job perfectly! They held up with ease and nothing was bent as they are aluminum. The installation instructions seemed okay, everything came together.

by:

Install was easy and straight forward. Going to work great with my Northern Lite truck camper .

by:

No worries about securing the camper to the truck using the Torklift tie-downs. Third camper/truck I have used these on and would not consider any other option.

by:

Excellent product and excellent service from ETRAILER! Held up well after one year, will hold up in long run as well. Fit and finish of product is outstanding. Durable coatings, and well worth the extra money for these!

by:

I had a great customer experience with Ashley. Seemed very caring and understanding and resolved my issue with some tie downs that were defective.
Great customer care. Thank you

by:

Hooray for stainless and aluminum! So much better than the carbon steel ones that were constantly shedding rust. I have so much better confidence in these tie downs over the originals

by:

Ordered both front and back set for my 2023 F250. All good except one of the bolt holes for the front drive side is missing. Called etrailer. Option 1 - return (we'll see). Option 2 call torklift. Called torklift and left a message - we'll see what the response is. Viewing etrailer website, this is the proper fit. Viewing torklift website "There are no fits available". Photo included.

by:

There was a miss match with the first set I received (wrong part number) when the correct kit was received, TorkLift had packed the wrong extensions in the box. After TorkLift shipped the correct extensions everything went together correctly and worked as expected.

Received part of my order but did not receive Torklift frame mounted tie downs for the front for my 2015 Ford F350 and have not heard of status! I am planning a trip and hopefully will receive them soon as I have never had this happened to me on previous orders.

by:

I purchased the Torklift Talon front and rear TC tie downs and love the fact they are lightweight but yet very strong. Being aluminum powder coated is great being in a salt air environment so no rusting like the steel versions do.

by:

Excellent product. Good customer service. I will always use tork lift products from now on.
etrailer is an excellent vendor as well.
I upgraded from happy jack camper tie downs. I like the aluminum talon tork lifts for their easy installation, zero corrosion liability, and unimposing appearance when not in use.
