When you’re hauling a camper, you want it to stay put no matter how far or rough the trip gets. These frame-mounted tie-downs create solid anchor points by bolting directly to your truck’s frame—the strongest part of the vehicle. This setup spreads the camper’s weight evenly and keeps the center of gravity low, so you avoid that top-heavy feel that makes handling sketchy in crosswinds or on uneven roads. The result is a stable, confident ride that feels just like driving without a camper.
Installing these tie-downs is straightforward because they use the pre-existing holes in your truck’s frame. That means little to no drilling and no need to modify anything. The brackets mount tight to the frame with minimal loss of ground clearance, keeping everything tucked up and out of the way. With basic tools, you can get them bolted on and ready to go without turning it into an all-day project.
These tie-downs are built from black powder-coated steel that resists corrosion and holds up under tough conditions. The durable finish helps protect against road salt, rain, and grime so they keep doing their job season after season. It’s a rugged setup you can count on whether you’re racking up long miles or bouncing down backroads with a full camper load.
When the camper’s off, these tie-downs practically disappear. The arms detach easily from the brackets, leaving only a clean, nearly flush mount under the vehicle. That way your truck keeps its good looks and ground clearance when it’s back in everyday use—no bulky hardware hanging below the frame.

Each arm has two pin holes so you can extend it just far enough to clear sidewalls or fenders. The tie-down plate also gives you two anchor points to fine-tune your turnbuckle angle for a snug, balanced hold on your camper. Once tightened down, the whole setup stays solid so your camper doesn’t shift or slide around as you drive.

The units appeared to be well made and were nicely painted. I installed them on my F150. The tools and hardware supplied were of good quality and installation was straight forward. Two people would have been great, but I was able to install both sides in a little less than an hour. The holes all line up very well. I like these better than the previous units I had on my 2013, as they do not stick out as far - so less noticeable. The extension arms come out at a very nice angle just under the body. I find these units with quality I expected and I think they will be highly functional in attaching my camper.
As expected from TorkLift, good product, heavy duty, fast shipping.
Well, we called you today to inform you that one of the three packages didn't arrive via UPS. You said it showed delivered so basically we go pound dirt. A package was delivered here that did not belong to us. I literally had to get in my vehicle and track down the UPS truck. Low and behold he still had my 3rd box on his truck. That is obviously not your fault but the final response from you was very disappointing. We spend thousands with etrailer
Everything was as expected it came with all the hardware to complete the project. Naomi was wonderful on the phone helping to ensure the correct parts were ordered.
The parts fit as they should and work as designed. The main challenge for installing is in the loosening of the leaf spring bolts. With out an impact wrench or access to a touch and a long breaker bar it would be next to impossible for an average person to install.
Good fit and the video instructions make installation so much better.
I had the mountings professionally attached to the frame. The hatches can be easily removed when not in use( and I would recommend that to keep them from being stolen). Using chains and turnbuckles, I feel very comfortable with my truck camper staying where it is.. does not rock, very solid.
It’s nice to feel secure about my camper staying firmly attached.
It was worth the investment.
Jason was great to work with on getting the proper camper tie downs for my truck as it was a new truck and was a bit confused as to the proper application.
I had them installed within an hour. Even an armature bolt twister could do this!
I have used my camper a lot since putting these on my truck and will tell you these are THE MOST SECURE ANCHORS I have ever used on any of my trucks PERIOD!
You will not make a bad decision going with this product. I recommend these tie downs over any product available! I Don't normally give recommendations or endorse products. These I am truly impressed with.
The best system one can get for worry free camping. Etrailer communication and service has been superb.
Keep in mind the parameters of the application these may be different on another vehicle. Camper is a Northern lite 9-6. Vehicle Chevy 3500 LB SRW 4x4. Post install, in my opinion. I’d feel my comfortable if the ‘FastGun’ tie downs were facing opposing directions. Currently attaching to the designated anchor points all four FG’s angle from the TorkFit anchor point BACK towards the NL camper’s anchor points. This positively prevents the 3600 LB. camper from rearward movement. However FOWARD movement can and has occurred. After a necessary sudden braking event I checked my clearances and discovered that forward movement did occur. About, one inch. My NL slid far enough forward that contact was made between the vehicle and the camper. Realignment was necessary. From an Engineers perspective: the best anchorage would be achieved with the anchoring devices (FastGuns, in my case) installed in opposing directions. In the future I will be placing blocks between the camper and the front of the truck bed to eliminate any forward movement.
We originally installed Happijack tiedowns in 2013 because that was the only option that the dealer offered and they did well until we unexpectedly went over a large hump in a highway road damaging the front tiedowns and the bumper! Once the damage was repaired, we decided to go with the frame mounted Torklyft tiedowns, which, although not inexpensive, are superior in my opinion to the non-frame tiedowns. Earlier this year we replaced the rear tiedowns prior to a trip to Alaska and they worked extremely well over the notoriously challenging roads thru the Yukon Territory and Alaska “highways”. Upon our return we replaced the front Happijack tiedowns with the Torklyft frame mounted tiedowns and so far are very pleased with the upgrade.
The camper tie down are solid and well worth the money. I installed them on my f250 to hold my camper and I just get in and go. Even in the mountain terrain.
Very poor instruction manual...
The photos are very small with poor dark images and contrast. Also, the names of the nuts, bolts, and other items should have photos of each item with the description and name of that item in each photo.
It appears that you don't want to help the customer install it on his own.
The tie downs are well made and strong.
I will give you more feedback when I get deeper into the installation...
The front mounts installed relatively easily with no drilling or modification. Instructions were ok, i recommend doing the passenger side first, as it has no gas tank in the wayand you will get the idea of the mount and order of tightening. I had to use double washers(provided) on the replacement bed bolt provided to make it work properly. The mounts themselves are solid and well made. Roughly .120 wall tubing. I sprayed cold galvanizing paint inside the tubes to prevent corrosion. etrailer’s service and shipping were top notch and fast. Total install about 4 hours, but I work slowly and take my time.
Product came promptly, however, part of the tie-down was sticking out through the box when delivered. Stronger packaging is suggested. Everything fit well and instructions were quite handy, making much of the otherwise difficult installation easier. There was mention of possible alteration of the emergency brake cable support if it was a manual system. Extra parts were even included if needed. However, on a 2025, 5.5' F-150, nothing was said about a main exhaust support being in the way of the passenger side's installation. The tie-downs are now installed but I'm still trying to figure out how to re-install the muffler support.
These tiedowns were great. They fit my 2023 ford f350 4wd crew cab perfectly. They bolted on using existing holes and they included wire feeders to feed the bolts through all the holes. Everything was included in the kit and installation was pretty simple. Probably took an hour or so. Directions were very good and easy to follow. They hold my camper down very securely and are adjustable for various widths. Also easy to drill different hokes for custom widths. I highly recommend this tie down for this model truck.
This is the third set, third vehicle, I have installed these camper tie-downs on. Once you are used to torklift instructions/ pictures the installation is not that hard ( even for me at 74 years old). The torklift product itself is well made and works great.
Great product, delivered on time and simple to install. They work great.
Straight forward on how to get them mounted I did it myself very happy with the product
After reviewing my options to hold a 3500lb trailer on my truck. I decided these were the only option. They are more expensive then the other options that bolt to the body and the bumper, But much more secure.
The install was fairly easy, Customer service from etrailer was awesome. When not in use they are barely visable. Great product, worth every penny!
Thanks again
These camper tie downs have been fantastic! They were easy to install and have made securing my camper a breeze. I really like how easy it is to pull the tie down portion of the brackets out when you aren't carrying the camper. In my opinion this is the only way to secure a truck camper.

They were great. I ended up getting a different truck and bought another Torklift setup for the new truck. I couldn’t imagine using anything else for securing a truck camper.
