When you’re running thousands of miles with a camper on the back, you want the load settled and steady. These frame-mounted tie-downs bolt directly to the truck’s strongest structure so the camper weight sits low and evenly across the bed. That keeps your rig stable in crosswinds and over rough roads, preventing sway or top-heavy movement that can make long drives stressful. Because the tie-downs connect at the frame instead of the bed or bumper, your truck handles almost like it does without the camper.
These tie-downs mount using pre-existing holes in the frame, so installation takes simple tools and little to no drilling. The bolt-on design means no cutting or permanent changes to your truck’s structure. Once mounted, they sit tight against the frame for minimal ground clearance loss—handy when you’re off pavement or parking on uneven ground.
Nobody wants bulky hardware hanging off their truck when the camper’s off. With these tie-downs, you can pull the arms out of the brackets in seconds, leaving only small, tucked-up brackets that are nearly invisible beneath the truck. When it’s time to load up again, slide the arms back in, pin them at one of two anchor holes, and you’re ready to secure your turnbuckles.

Made of steel and finished with a high-impact powder coat, these tie-downs stand up to rough weather, road salt, and vibration from long hauls. The coating adds an extra layer of protection so you can count on them season after season whether you’re on highways or backcountry routes.
Each arm has two pin holes so you can choose how far it extends from the body, clearing fenders or sidewalls while lining up with your camper’s anchor points. Two holes in the attachment plate let you fine-tune your turnbuckle angle for a tight hold from multiple directions. That solid connection keeps your camper locked in place mile after mile.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at these Torklift custom frame mounted front camper tie downs. Now, these tie downs are going to fit various years and versions of the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado. To confirm that these are going to work for you, please take advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Input the year, make and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will let you know if these will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you.
Now, these custom tie downs provide attachment points at the front of the bed of your truck for securing a bed mounted camper. The rear camper tie downs are sold separately. And again, you will wanna use our fit guide to find the rear tie downs that will work for your particular vehicle. These brackets are going to fit tight to your truck's frame with no loss of ground clearance. And the frame mounted design is going to ensure excellent handling because securing your camper to your truck's base instead of its bed better distributes weight to keep your setup from being too top heavy.
And there are going to be virtually undetectable when they're not in use. These tie down inserts can be easily removed from the frame mounted receiver brackets with these included pins. So I'm just gonna go ahead and remove one of these just to give you a brief demonstration. So I removed one of the included pins here and then that insert is going to slide right out and you can take these inserts and put them in the back of the cab of your truck when they're not in use. And then when you're ready to use them, you just grab them and slide them back into the receiver brackets.
I wanted to show you that each of these inserts have two holes. You will use the first hole here for if your camper is wider, if you need a little more clearance, and then you'll use that second hole there for your camper if it's a little bit narrower. So you do have some flexibility there. I'm gonna slide it all the way into that second hole there. So this will continue to fit on my table, line up the holes and then run the pin through and then go ahead and secure the pin.
And these pins have a pretty good tension on them so they're going to hold in place once you have them secured. Now, these are made here in the USA of a powder coated steel construction. You're going to receive everything that you see here on the table before me. You're going to receive the two front tie down inserts, the frame brackets, and the necessary hardware along with a set of instructions to walk you through the installation process. These do have a lifetime warranty from Torklift. And that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
