These frame-mounted tie-downs keep your camper locked down tight for a smooth, controlled ride no matter how far you go. By attaching directly to the truck’s frame—the strongest point on your vehicle—they evenly distribute weight and lower the center of gravity. That means your camper won’t sway or shift in crosswinds or on rough roads, and your truck handles just like it should. It’s the solid, stable setup you want for long trips or heavy campers.
The custom-fit design uses pre-existing holes in your frame, so there’s little to no drilling and no cutting. The brackets bolt up cleanly and mount tight to the frame for excellent ground clearance. Because the fit is custom, you get a solid connection that feels like it was built for your truck from day one.
When the camper’s off, you can remove the tie-down arms so only the small frame brackets remain—and they’re barely visible. The setup tucks neatly under the body, preserving your truck’s clean look without bulky hardware hanging below.

Each tie-down is made from durable steel and finished with a high-impact powder coat for extra protection against the elements. That tough finish helps resist chips, corrosion, and rust from road salt or weather exposure, so your tie-downs stay strong and good-looking through years of use.
Each arm includes two pin holes so you can extend them out to clear fenders or sidewalls and line up turnbuckles (sold separately) at the perfect angle. The dual anchor holes give you flexibility for stronger, more stable tension on your camper anchors—helping keep everything steady mile after mile.

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at these Torklift rear camper tie downs. These tie downs provide the attachment points at the rear of your truck bed so that you can secure your truck camper's turn buckles. The front tie downs are gonna be required, but they are sold separately, but you will need all four so that you can have those tie down points at all four corners. Your turn buckles that secure your camper to the tie downs are also sold separately. You probably already have them for your camper, but if not, you will need to pick some up.
Now these are going to work with lots of different vehicles. They're gonna fit several different years, and package setups for the Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Nissan, Ram, and Toyota, models that you see on the screen there. So because this does work with so many different options, it's hard for me to really pinpoint, fine tune that for you. So I would encourage you to use our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com so you can select your year, make, and model, and then we'll walk you through as how to identify and make sure that this component is gonna work for your vehicle. So be sure to use that vehicle fit guide, but this is going to have these frame mounted brackets that use pre-existing holes in your vehicle's frame.
So there's very little, if any drilling required. They do include very detailed instructions to make sure that you're getting them installed properly, as well as the installation hardware that you're gonna need. And because these are mounted to your truck's frame, there's gonna be very minimal loss of ground clearance, if any. So it is gonna sit nice and tight up against your frame, and securing to the truck's frame is also going to ensure more stability. So being down there on the base of your truck rather than up on your bed rails is going to help create a lower center of gravity, make it less top heavy.
So it's gonna be a lot more stable for you than if you we're to have it attached higher up. So it's gonna be less vulnerable to, say, strong winds and sway, and that sort of thing. One of the really nice things about this Torklift design is that unlike some of your other options where you have a bracket that's permanently mounted where it's gonna be visible, it kinda takes away from the look of your truck when you don't have your camper in there. These you can just remove the arms because these do sit against your frame. They're gonna be right there on the bottom of your truck so they're virtually invisible when you have the arms taken out.
So you won't be seeing them or they're not gonna take away from the look of your truck. But then when you're ready to put your camper in and just simply slide these in, and you'll be ready to go. So there are two different holes here on the arms to accommodate different widths of your camper. So if you have a wider camper, you can just slide it into that first hole there, and then use the included pin to secure those arms to your brackets. This whole setup is made here in the USA of a very durable steel construction so it is gonna hold up really well for you. It also has this black powder coat finish as you can see so it will resist rust and corrosion. This kit does come with a limited, or sorry, a lifetime warranty. So if you we're to have any issues with it, you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com. But overall, I think this is gonna be a great way to make sure that your camper is securely connected to your truck. Giving you a very easy way of getting these mounted, and having that ability to remove those arms, take away any unsightly brackets being installed when your truck is being used for other purposes. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
