Video Transcript for Feature Review Erickson Car Tie-Down with Ratchet

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson Car Tie-Down Strap. This is designed with the flat hooks and the catches that hold it on to our connection point. The part # on it is 58503. This strap is 7 foot long, 2 inches wide, heavy duty stitching as you can see here at the connection point. As we said, flat style hook with the latch that's going to catch and hold it in place. The offer heavy duty steel construction on it. The standard ratchet style operation.

This is going to give us a 5,000 pound break strength or maximum capacity. That's going to give us a 1,667 pound working load limit. As you can see here we've got our UTV all loaded up, just need to get it secured to the trailer. These straps and this style have really been coming in handy with these things getting as big as they are. You really need some good capacity to hold them in. Also works great for cars or trucks, securing them in to the bed of a truck or a trailer. We are going to be using this in conjunction with part # 88509 today.

This is the Erickson axle strap. Now we're just going to bring this around, in our case, the control arm on our UTV. That could just as easily be the axle on a vehicle or truck. We're going to take our hook right under the D-ring there. To prepare a strap, we'll just bring it through the center slot and run it right back through the top section there. Then we'll just cinch it down.

We can take our excess, pin it right underneath our handle there. With our strap nice and secure, all we have to do is head around to the other side and get it taken care of, and we're ready to head down the road.
