Reach the SkyBox from the Ground

A large rooftop box is handy until loading it turns into climbing on running boards or reaching over your head. The MOS UpLift lowers the mounting platform down the side of your vehicle with a gas-strut-assisted system, putting the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 in a much easier position to reach. Your cargo box stays useful for big trips because packing it feels controlled from the side of the vehicle.

More Room for a Wider Cargo Box

The 16 cu ft SkyBox gives you enclosed storage for luggage and gear, but a wider box needs enough usable mounting surface to sit where it belongs. The J-Extension Bars add 10" of mounting surface per arm on the MOS UpLift, giving your larger roof box the extra room it needs on the lift-assist arms. The setup feels less cramped when the box is mounted and lowered for loading.

Locked Storage That Tells You It Is Shut

When your gear is packed above the roofline, it helps to know the lid is fully secured before the drive starts. The SkyBox uses security latches on both sides, and the key cannot be removed unless all 3 internal latches are engaged. Once your gear is inside, the box closes with a clear locked state you can verify before heading out.

Clamp-On Setup Without Drilling

Adding a lift-assist rack shouldn't turn your roof setup into a custom fabrication job. The MOS UpLift mounts to most round, square, aero, and factory crossbars with a clamp-on installation, and the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 attaches with adjustable mounting clamps and the included torque tool. Your rack and cargo box can be installed without drilling or complicated modifications, so getting the system onto your roof feels much more manageable.
