RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables - 6,000 lbs
The safety cables have worked perfectly. The fact that they self coil makes them stay out of the way when installed and make them easy to store.
Well, this is my 3rd review. These safety cables were part of my flat tow kit, all bought through etrailer. As I have said before, etrailer provides video installation guides that save you on Installations. Also their staff can help too. I have bought other items in the past and each self installation has saved a considerable sum of money overtime. You can't go wrong with etrailer

Curt Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables with S-Hooks - 42" Long - 5,000 lbs - Qty 2
Love these cables. First, using coiled cables avoids adjusting chains so they don't drag on the highway. Second, the S hooks are MUCH easier to attach and remove from the hitch on my RAV4. Previously had coiled cables with clevis hooks. They convinced me to stick with coiled cables, but the heavier hooks were harder to manage on my RAV4.
Cannot beat the product quality, price and service.

Roadmaster 64" Single Hook, Straight Safety Cables - 8,000 lbs
I installed the safety cables and they appear to be a good quality product.
What design criteria did you use for these safety cables purposely built for tow bar applications. The length should've been based on the tow bar sliding tube being fully extended. the 64 inch safety cables are too long for the Nighthawk 10,000lb off-road I'm using--by about 10-11 inches. So, I have to "loop" the excess and tie it with a small plastic tie. I've flat towed about 13,000 miles at this point and on our last trip, one of my plastic ties broke and one of my safety cables was scraping the road and was damaged. I need cables that are 54 inches and will hang well above the ground with just a little slack.
