It's a good trailer coupler, but sadly, someone from etrailer failed to properly package the coupler or I was sent a used one. Either way, I'm not happy with this purchase. Maybe someone from etrailer will contact me and we can have the issue resolved.

This is the best hitch on the market! I've changed over all 4 of my trailers to this hitch. Simple hook/unhook, releases off the ball smooth, no pins to mess with. The included steel bracket (product #DM6125-81) is super heavy duty & so is the hitch itself, plenty heavy for any 2 5/16" trailer. I hacked off my existing hitches w a cutoff saw, welded a plate then the bracket and did each of my trailers , w paint, in less than an hour.

I ordered a black coupler set. You told me it would be available in several weeks, by Sept 20 something. I went online to look and you pushed the delivery out until late Oct or early Nov. I called and you actually have one in stock but it's white. I don't care about the color. I asked your rep to sell me the white one for the same price. He refused. How do you get $[XX] more for white??? I paid it as I need the trailer back. You are better than this.

Great upgrade to my heavy trailers. Would be 5 stars if the locking pin hole would accept a larger diameter lock or a padlock.

Installed this AWESOME hitch on my 20 ft equipment trailer after I upgraded to 8k axles. This hitch is a beast. I love the no touch when hooking up. Just lower the trailer down and it makes a positive lock sound. I welded the hitch to a 1/2 inch thick plate. Welded the plate onto the trailer and used my own gussets instead of the supplied ones. You won’t go wrong with this hitch!

Exactly what I needed to replace the sloppy pintle hitch on my trailer I’m rebuilding.

I wanted peace of mind towing equipment without the loud pintle hook. This is overkill for what I need but is exactly what I was looking for. The items came quickly, the price is fair, I would buy again.

Seems like a quality product at a good price, you will receive exactly what you see. Box it was shipped in was a little beat up due to the items weight and handling, but didn’t affect contents.

This coupler is heavy duty and was just what we needed to change the old outdated hitch. The adjustable height lets any sized vehicle tow the trailer.

Awesome. The trailer is 18,000gvw, very stiff. This hitch smoothes out the trailer making it a joy to pull. I wish that I would of found out about this hitch sooner. Also customer service was very helpful in placing my order. Thank you!

Makes a big difference. After a long haul, contents of my fiber slicing lab stay put and there are no signs that an earthquake took place. A must when pulled by a F550 bucket truck. Super impressed. Still a nice unit when pulled by my 3/4 ton. Albeit with the softer suspension not as noticeable.

I received the coupler quickly and on time. The coupler looks well strong and durable, very well made. It was easy to install and I am ready to use the trailer. The one thing I don't like about the coupler is how quickly it started to rust. I thought it would have been treated or finished somehow to prevent rust. I only had it on my trailer for a week and it's already rusting. Maybe I should have painted it before installation.

I was not familiar with etrailer.com but found them online with an easy search for my unique, old trailer hitch. Their website was easy to navigate, shipping was fast, quality was excellent and I like my new hitch better than the original.

Makes hooking up and disconnecting a trailer much easier. Especially helpfully when using the 3-point hitch on my tractor. You simply back up to the trailer, raise the 3-point hitch hydraulics and the coupler latches without you ever having to get off the tractor. Time saving and probably a safety feature not being between a heavy trailer and whatever you use to tow it. Huge upgrade to the clumsy screw-lock coupler that came with the trailer!

I ordered this trailer coupler to replace the worn out coupler on my boat trailer. I needed a class 4 unit to handle the weight. I finished installation yesterday. It's a very robust coupler and appears to be well designed/manufactured. The ability to adjust height as well as interchange coupler type is valuable as I can use different tow vehicles without a problem.

This looks like a well built coupler that will automatically latch when set on the ball. It even came with the C channel to weld to the tongue of the trailer.

It is the best used yo have a the older style i was always worried if it had latched correctly but with this latch system I dont have to do anything i dont even have to see it i can just hear it click when its latching on its own and i know its right dont forget to buy the pin for it i have actually bought two one for each of my trailers

Wow. This is what a trailer hitch should be. Up to now, I tended to buy trailer couplers based on low price, provided it was rated high enough for what I was pulling. This time, I decided to spend a few extra $$$ to get a premium coupler, and I wasn't disappointed. Coupling and un-coupling is the easiest I have ever experienced, fit and finish are excellent, and it looks built to last a lifetime. After years of struggling with a trailer coupler that was difficult to latch and unlatch, this is a breeze (you had to have things lined up exactly, and then still look/reach underneath to be sure the little 'catch' had grabbed the ball, plus fight against a spring-loaded lever to latch). With this coupler, you just park so the ball is under the coupler, and lower the trailer. As you lower the trailer, the little release lever will start to rise up off the coupler. When it 'snaps' back down, you are locked in place. Couldn't be easier. To unlock, just flip the lever up, and raise the trailer. No fighting a little latch that requires you to be exactly centered before it will latch, no way the latch can miss holding the ball in place, and no fighting the catch to un couple. I wish I would have known about this style of coupler years ago. It costs a few dollars more (but not much for one of equal tow ratings) but it works better than any other coupler I have used. Well worth it, if you hook and unhook your trailer with any frequency at all.
