EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2"
Awesome trailer hitch for my prius v! Installed in about 15 minutes. No problems.
This is an excellent hitch. It bolts to Prius with not too much difficulty and is mostly hidden behind the bumper. The main reason I like it so much is that it is a full size class III hitch which can be used with the majority of bike racks and other hitch accessories. I also use it to pull a small utility trailer. Who needs a gas guzzling pickup truck?

Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2"
The hitch receiver came in a sturdy oversized box containing no padding to secure the hitch, possibly explaining the two large holes in the box. There was no immediately visible damage to the hitch but when I measured the distance between the mounting flanges at the forward and rear corresponding edges there was about 1/2 inch difference, suggesting that they were bent presumably during shipping. Fortunately, I was able to mount it to my 2018 RAV4 Hybrid Limited without the need to bend anything. The installation went pretty smoothly except for some fiddling to disconnect the muffler hanger, and I broke two of the plastic fittings that hold a plastic panel in place over the driver side mounting area. I replaced the plastic fittings with some bolts and nuts so no worries. This was a 1-man install job which I accomplished by using a floor jack to raise the hitch into position. Shipping was super fast! I received it the day after I ordered it. All in all I think I will be really happy with this purchase.
I choose etrailer based on great prior reviews, price, and vast selections. While watching a few of their YouTube videos that were very specific and informative in how to install my hitch, I felt confident in their product and customer service quality. I choose standard shipping and it was I received it that week. Very fast! Upon inspection I was surprised how mint condition it was I say that because it there wasn’t really much protection in the box protecting the hitch. I’ve worked for a major shipping company and boxes are thrown around in transport, especially when it comes off the main truck and hits the warehouse conveyor belt system. It’s not malicious, it’s just part of how it’s done. That being said, there wasn’t a mark on it. Great powder coat all around. Came with all well made hardware and directions That were easy to follow. I actually was able to install it myself in less than 30 min. Don’t pay to have someone install it. Just ask a neighbor or a family member to help. All you really need help with or just someone to hold one side up when you lift it in in mine I was even able to just balance it with one of my legs while I have the other side because it wasn’t a huge hitch. Really impressed with it and very happy and would definitely order from them again

You need to trim the rear splashguard but the instructions tell you how. You will need to be able to pop out the plastic panel fittings, and if any of them break, you will need some replacements for 10mm holes
I installed this trailer hitch on my 2018 Toyota Sienna. It is very well-built, and fit perfectly. Customer service was very responsive when I had some questions, and responded right away, both by phone and email. The instructions were very good, but could benefit from additional information regarding cutting the car’s rear trim panel. In addition to the cut that needs to be made for the trailer hitch bolting plate to go through on the driver’s side , it also needs to be cut around the main bar / receiver area. Instead of cutting a big slot for the main bar, I cut out around the receiver plates, and put drain holes in the ends that would otherwise collect water. One shortcut that I found was that I was able to move the exhaust out of the way far enough by just removing the rearmost hanger, rather than removing the two hangers as shown in the video.

Arrived in a very timely manner in good shape. Easy install with instructions. I chose not to drop the exhaust as you can get the bolts in easy enough with it on. For the factory seven way plug and bracket i just bent it back and it works great. I have ordered through etrailer before and will do it again in the future ! thanks guys Tyler
I purchased this to mount on a 2009 4Runner for use with a bicycle hitch rack. It was very easy to install. Installation took about 45 minutes (with a 14 yr old helping). I did not have to move or drop the muffler; instead, I used a flat wrench to work around the muffler. The most difficult part of the install was removing the tow hook from the 4Runner prior to getting started. Once installed, the hitch sticks out about 3 inches past the bumper. I was not expecting it to stick out this much, but it seems like a necessary part of the design due to where the tire is mounted.

Perfect high quality Hitch was selected. The testimonials with pictures/videos was excellent and helped me with my decision. Received the hitch in 3 days. The installer that etrailer recommended (TowPro, Duluth, GA) did a first class job at a reasonable price. Start to finish a great experience.
Wanted this hitch for bike rack only - no towing anticipated. Easy to remove existing bolts and discard. New (supplied) bolts effective. Only thing negative is corrugated box got banged up which means the product suffered minor scratching. Entire process took 2 of us 25 minutes. If you are trying to do this by yourself you'll need a jack stand. Shimmying the box for one side is - maybe - effective, but I would not recommend... all in all good product and value. Hitch is pretty heavy... all good. A big + was install video. Helpful

Great hitch and delivery came as promised, very quickly. It was a bit tricky installing - being careful and thorough, it took 2 hours. The hitch is strong and will hold 400 pounds, plenty for the 73 pound e-bikes we have.
I bought thi hitch for my 2008 Subaru Legacy Wagon. The hitch fits perfectly into the factory mounting bolts, easy and quick intalation, all hardware came in the package. Also the price for this part was $[XX] less than anybody else offers.

Exactly as described! I have an older 2011 Honda Odyssey that I needed a hitch for and didn’t want to spend a ton of money for the minimal use it would get. When I researched hitches etrailer kept coming up with great reviews. Their site rated the install at 3 out of 10 stars and the reviews said 1-2 hours doing it alone. It was super easy. No ramps or special equipment or fancy tools needed!
Great quality hitch. Easy install. I used jack stands and a cinder block to hold it in place while I bolted it on. No rust on it yet which is good for living in New England.

This was the easiest hitch install that I have ever done. I love trailers directions and products. Previous installs on a Matrix and Prius.
This is a nice, heavy duty hitch. Probably heavier duty than the 2011 Rav4 I put it on, but I like the 2" size reciever for the flexibility. You can always adapt down, but going up can be tricky. It was about a 20 minute install with about 40 minuets of up and down looking for a tool. Mine dod not have the bolt on muffler hanger the instructions referenced, but that was just a couple of bolts I didn't have to worry about. One trick I have learned with installing hitches on the ground by yourself is to use a jack to hold it up and in place while you start the bolts. The other is to run the bolts into the holes before you get the hitch into position. If the hole wasn't use, it ca be full of grit and road grime and it is a lot easier to deal with it before you have an 80 pound hitch hovering over you head. As always, eTrailer was a great source. I think this is the seventh hitch I have bought and installed from them over the years. I still the they need to include an "I got hitched at eTrailer" bumper sticker with every purchase, but I suppose solid service and affordable pricing is good enough.

Delivered quickly. Fit well, with minimal fussing around to get it on. Biggest problem was getting the dirt and rust out of the chassis threads. The bolting is not a size that is standard in a tap set, it appear tos be a "sparkplug" thread, so had to buy a tap just to get the bolts to thread in. Getting the tap started took some fussing and finesse, but was eventually accomplished. After that, it went quickly. Looks great and is tucked away mostly out of sight. Pulls a trailer just fine.
Curt hitch C13068 and cover I-728 installed on an Oddy 2012 for the purpose of installing a YAKIMA bike rack. Due to the combination of OEM price and the need for large cutouts in the bodywork required I decided on CURT aftermarket vs. OEM. Selected CURT based on ground/receiver ground-clearance, looks and no mods to bumper bodywork. I installed the CURT hitch by myself in about 1 hour, I used a furniture dolly to move the hitch into position and cribbed it with wood to get to the right height. I did not undo the exhaust mount. Some people have expressed concern over the hitch design, at the end of the day in this "product liability environment" I assume CURT is doing their homework and properlly designed the hitch. Mind you, I do not expect to connect anything heavier than a loaded Yakima 4 bike rack (less than 250 lbs loaded). I do not think I can add to the wealth of information provided by etrailer and the CURT instructions themselves, other than I disagree with the comment to not install the driver side plastic cover. I re-installed by trimming with a box cutter a approx. 1/2 in. × 4 in. corner section. With regards to e-trailer. They could do a slightlly better job packing the hitch so that they do not break through the box (mine showed up sticking out with some minor scuffs). Mind you, I would buy from them again tomorrow based on all the product info, videos and reviews (good and bad), THANK YOU and Kudos I deduct the CURT hitch 1 notch, for not extending the wings to capture all three (3) OEM mount points. Other notes: I separatelly installed an OEM tranny cooler as recommended by HONDA.

This is the third hitch I have purchased from etrailer and each purchase has gone smoothly. I will say the two Curt Hitches did install and line up better than another brand I purchased from them but don't recall the brand on that one.
Good trailer hitch. Bought it to attach a bike rack. Installation was fairly straightforward. Hardest part was enlarging the frame holes. A step bit was the way to go. Fits perfectly without interference and is not obtrusive. Very beefy too. Very happy with my purchase.

The hitch is beefy and the welds look strong. All bolt holes lined up nicely with the threaded holes in the truck frame, once a fitment issue (see below) was resolved. Very nice powder coating too. A few things caused me to delete a star: 1) the hitch didn't fit at first, because both end plates were bent inward so it wouldn't fit around the frame rails. It was about 1/2" too short. I used a pipe clamp with a 4' section of pipe as a lever to straighten the end plates, then the hitch fit the frame rails snugly and all holes lined up. See photos. 2) The bumper bracket shims that compensate for the end plate thickness are not the same thickness as the end plates! End plates appear to be 1/4" thick, shims are maybe 3/16". Strange, and something (either the bumper, or its mounting brackets) will bend when tightening up the bolts. Why aren't the shims the correct thickness? 3) With the hitch in place the shims are very difficult to install - there's no room for your hands. I finally got it done, but I wish the instructions had recommended installing the shims first, that would have been much easier. But both the printed instructions and the instructional videos show them going in last. I don't see any reason that you must install the shims after the hitch, but I could be wrong. Oh well I got them in, after some vague obscenities - live and learn. 4) Packing was marginal. The box was partially blown out where the receiver section of the hitch pressed against it. No damage in this case, but better packaging might be a good idea. Other than those complaints I'm quite satisfied with the hitch, it looks good and appears to be very strong - in fact its capacity of 5000lbs is greater than my Tacoma at 3500lbs. Nice product.
Things that I liked about this product, 1) very nice workmanship, well made. 2) installation very straight forward, no issues. Things that I didn't like, 1) Such a nice product finished with powder coating. It may look nice, but it does not last. Paint holds up so much better. 2) No bracket for the trailer lights connector. The original had a mount welded in place. Kurt states no welding, no drilling on new hitch. Toyota has an odd plug that is larger than other standard ones. Ended up fabricating a mount bracket of my own, which = time. I would buy this product again if necessary, e-trailer is great to deal with and none of the problems were of their doings

With e-trailer it is easy to find what I need for towing. The Curt trailer hitch is solidly constructed and moderately easy to install. DIYers should be prepared to use a Dremel or similar tool to slightly notch out one hole on either side to be able to insert the backing plates and bolt heads.
Product arrived quickly (two days). Hitch is well made and bolts right up to our 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness. Enlargement of the forward two holes on the car is required to get the bolts and backing plates into position. Easily done with Dremel tool. I would have given 5 stars except that the hitch busted through the box in three places during transport and knocked the paint off in several spots on the hitch. I don't understand why the ends of the hitch are not wrapped with bubble wrap or cardboard. The hitch would still easily fit into the box and prevent this sort of unnecessary damage. Instead, I had to spend and extra hour sanding 5-6 dings, cleaning and painting (two coats) to prevent rust on the exposed bare metal. Touch-up paint was an extra $12 at the automotive shop. Come on etrailer, wrap the ends/edges of the hitches. Others have mentioned the same issue in their reviews.

This is the second one of these particular hitches that I have purchased. The first one was installed on a 2012 mercedes benz sprinter. That performed flawlessly , the entire time that I owned that van , which was right up until 2024. In 2024 I sold the 2012 and bought another brand new sprinter. I purchased the second hitch and installed it on the 2024. I will comment these were surprisingly tight tolerances. It took a bit of muscle to get the hitch into position. Personally, I believe that that is a good thing. I have no doubt that I will easily get that same decade out of this unit.
Perfect fit
