Most Popular Locks Not Included for 2022 Jeep Renegade

I had viewed the video and read the instructions. I downloaded the measurements and notes. Having done this I installed the Hang Out 2 on my 2017 Jeep Renegade in about 10 minutes without any problems. I suspect that the whole process would take longer if you don't read the instructions first. It wasn't noticed until I was reading the installation instructions that the bike rack requires a straight frame between the handle bars and the seat. I needed to order a TubeTop for my wife's ladies frame bike. I wish I had known this when I ordered the rack so I could have saved on shipping and had both arrive together. I am very pleased in the ease of putting the rack on my Jeep when needed and removing the rack when not needed. I use a coated steel cable and lock to lock the rack and bikes to the Jeep's frame.

Product was inexpensive and arrived on time. I was however dissatisfied with the product. Installation instructions were poor at best. We had to watch multiple videos in order to get it to install. It was also understood that I could use the back hatch with the rack installed. However I found this was not the case.

I have now owned my Yakima HangOut 3 Bike Rack a year now and have had it mounted on my 2017 Jeep Renegade full time and hauled bike all across my home state and to three other states. I have had no issues and the bikes are well secured.

Pretty easy to put on once you figure it out.

This is a well designed rack. Adding and removing bikes is quick & easy. Just set the bike on & slide the padded hook down onto the bike frame to secure it; no straps required. If only one bike is transported, it does not interfere with opening the trunk on our Tesla Model 3. With 2 bicycles the trunk cannot be opened. For 2 bikes the Swagman model that can tilt might be worth the extra 22 bucks. This rack uses a bolt in the receiver hitch instead of a pin. This locks it securely preventing it from moving in the hitch & rattling. It also requires a wrench to remove it, good for theft prevention but one more thing to keep track of. For storage on the vehicle the top bar folds down. For storage in the garage, the left & right bars fold up & you can hang it using one of the hooks.

So far so good. The rack wiggles a bit, but that is expected. I have it on my 2007 Corolla and I have hit 65+ on the highway with it and have not had a problem. I would recommend getting a locking pin. The one included is threaded, which aside from security, makes it harder to take the rack on and off. I would also look into a DIY way to secure the wheels better. I am using some bungee straps which do the job no problem. The two bikes I carry are at the racks capacity.

I was sent additional mounting materials that don't correspond with my hitch or my bike rack. See the photo below. Are these materials for my Swagman STC2 Bike Rack Item #S64670?

Very stable and simple to use bike rack that works great with my road bike AND with my 29" Big Rippers. It makes loading and unloading the bikes a snap and they are safe and secure for traveling once loaded and secured. I have already logged over a thousand miles hauling bicycles with this rack and highly recommend it. I am a big fan of Yakima roof racks but, honestly, wish I would have went with this setup for my bikes from the beginning.

The Rhino Rack has been the perfect addition to my Outback. It looks great, and I love the built-in through-axel bike mounts. It's nice not to have to have an additional mount for my bicycles! Is this the perfect cargo basket?

Phenomenal Product. We purchased for our 1200 mile road trip in August 2019 to Sedona the coast and back home in Northern California. Everything was safe and secure our entire trip & no problems other than lots of bugs to clean off our rack & baskets when we arrived at our final destination. I have a step-through sport utility bike that I can’t put on a standard bike carrier because the frame doesn’t have a top tube. My car is a hybrid & will not accommodate a trailer hitch. My car is an SUV, so a roof rack is not practical for me. Hatchback bike racks are not suitable for the particular make & model of my SUV. The Seasucker Hornet seemed to be my only option. I’m happy to say that the Seasucker Hornet solved my problem & now I can transport my bicycle anywhere.

Clever idea but difficult to mount a bike if you have angled handlebars. Plus seems a bit sketchy--you have to check the mounts every 4 hours as they lose suction.

One Year Later – Still Going Strong I’ve owned this rack for a year now, and I couldn’t be happier. It securely holds all 4 of my bikes, even on longer road trips, with no shifting or wobble. One of my favorite features is the ability to tilt the rack away from the vehicle—even when it's fully loaded. That’s a huge convenience and makes it super practical for daily use. Durable, easy to use, and thoughtfully designed. Highly recommend if you're looking for a reliable 4-bike solution.

This bike rack has worked well for us. We have a Jeep Wrangler, with the spare tire on the back of the tailgate, and needed a rack that would hold the bikes in a trailer hitch, and swing away so we could easily access the rear storage of the jeep. This has worked out perfectly! I did have to use a hitch extender to clear the rear tire, but that was expected. The rack works well, holds the bikes as expected, and is easy to use, and get on and off the vehicle. I am very satisfied!
