Roadmaster InvisiBrake Flat Tow Brake System - Preset
I'am in the process of setting up my 2017 Equinox to tow behind our motorhome. I've placed 4-orders with etrailer. So far I've installed the base plate, the wiring from the rear tail lights to the front end.I also received my Tow bar and the quick release parts. my next project is to install the invisi brake system. I want to send Kudos to Cathy T for her help and her great customer service. I'am also thanking James A for his quick response to a question about the wiring harness. I'am extremely happy with the quality of everything I ordered at etrailer. Thanks

Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Air Brakes - Proportional
I purchased this as part of a package which included; Hitch and wiring for my 2022 Equinox, Base plate, Tow Bar, brake System and connecting air hose, break away cables, LED tow lights with wiring harness, and a trickle charger to keep the Equinox battery from going dead while I was towing it behind my class A RV. I had etrailer do the install of all the components on my car and RV. All the workmanship was excellent and done in the amount of time they said it would take. Also because they did not have a video of this equipment being put on this year and model vehicle, I gave them permission to make a video(which added a extra day and a half to the install)and the installation was free. Everything has worked perfectly and I couldn't be happier. Etrailer is my go to for anything towing and also RV parts.
Great breaking system , I installed the unit on my 2016 Equinox ,and our new 2018 Tiffin Phaeton. Most dealers don't want to cut into the Coach air system ,hey grow a pair it's no big deal . They just want to sell you the big clunky box then you have to deal with that . Air Force 1 just disconnect jump in , throw a switch and go . Recommend to all .

Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles
Simple and easy to install! This wiring kit is amazing and so easy to install, basically a plug and play application. After talking with auto shops about wiring my Chevy Equinox for towing and hearing that it would cost me $600-$800, I immediately looked for other options. This wiring kit was not only easy to install, but there were also installation videos to watch on the website to guide me and it saved me over $500! I had it installed in 90 minutes and that was with me taking my time and double checking everything. It works like a charm and I couldn't be happier with it. In fact, I even highlighted the wiring kit, my install, and etrailer on my YouTube channel.
Haven't installed the kit yet. Looks to be complete and high quality.

Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Flat Tow Brake System - Proportional
I received the order quickly. The instructions and videos on the etrailer site allowed me to have some of the pre-wiring finished before the brake buddy arrived. Wiring and initial setup was straightforward and easy. I have used the brake buddy three times. Once as a test run then to and from a short camping trip. The third time setting up the unit was super easy and fast. With the blue ox system and the brake buddy I can hook up in just under five minutes. I tow a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox and had no problems with the battery draining because the system includes a battery charger.
It took me awhile to figure out how to set it up in my "Tiny Jeep" (TJ). I finally tried flipping the bracket for the brake pedal upside down, and that moved the connecting bracket forward just enough to where the shaft fit in the bracket. Used it once, about a month ago, and couldn't even tell the Jeep was connected to the motorhome. The tow vehicle is a 2023 Tiffin Wayfarer. The tow is a 2003 Jeep Wrangler TJ.

Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Braking System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes - Wireless Monitor - Proportional
Installed 6/17/23 on a 2023 Equinox LT (AWD). Installation was pretty straight-forward. I mostly followed etrailer's videos. Note that the pneumatic cylinder needs to be mounted fairly high on the brake pedal arm so you have a 'square' profile to clamp onto. This vehicle has an electronic brake booster rather than pneumatic, so follow Demco's instructions regarding this variation. The wireless coachlink works great. I couldn't be happier with this system.

Roadmaster BrakeMaster for RVs w/ Air or Air-Over-Hydraulic Brakes - Proportional
Your customer service leaves nothing lacking, and this follow-up from you is so out of character for the many web sites I have purchased from over the years. I am impressed by you and your company. I bought the tow bar and the brake system for my Equinox, and installed them my self (I am 70 years old) - and with your provided instructions and video, I had no problems (even though I was surprised by the number of parts and detail that went into the assemblies). Both systems have worked very well, with no problems. I am completely satisfied with them, and have told my friends and traveling acquaintances about your company. Thanks for your follow-up!
The product shipped on time and has been worry free. etrailer gets 5 stars for customer service every time I order from them.

Brake Buddy Classic 3 Portable Flat Tow Brake System - Preset
Easy set up. Works great
This kit worked out great for my 2022 Chevy Equinox. I like how it has separate side plates, which make it easier to attach the main bar. The points where it attaches to the frame seem plenty secure. It is important to watch the videos provided by etrailer as Ryan is very thorough and has good tips for installing. I would also recommend installing additional wiring while having the front end off. Overall, I was able to complete in my driveway. The hardest part was sorting out the wiring for whatever braking and tail lights you decide on. William S helped me pick all the necessary components needed for flat towing behind my Jayco RV. I am looking forward to a summer of camping and having more freedom to explore the area, now having a car.

Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit
Installed on a 2023 Equinox LT (AWD). I believe there may have been a change to the Equinox brake pedal assembly from prior years. Because of this, I was not able to get the switch located properly with the bracket that is included in the kit. I fashioned my own mounting plate from a piece of diamondplate which I bolted to the brake lever bracketry. This works great and is rock solid.
Brake Buddy Stealth Supplemental Braking System - Proportional
Lot of work to install but the system is super easy to use after. I saw some complaints that you need to use brake module it comes with. This was no problem as I didn’t have on in my motorhome yet.
I am a proficient DIYer (and was an auto mechanic many years ago). The installation took a lot of time - perhaps 8-10 hours for the brake controller. The most special tool needed was a rotary cutter (e.g., a Dremel tool). A cordless impact driver was also very helpful, especially with the self tapping screws. Getting the pully in the perfect position under the brake pedal took some trial-and-error to get perfect. Also, the included bolts for the brake pedal bracket where too short to accommodate the width of the brake lever - easily remedied with slightly longer standard bolts. Be very mindful of what is on the other side of the sheet metal you are planning to drill into. The brake supplemental vacuum system was a bit of a challenge, as the instructions are very vague regarding how to mount, and the space I had to work with was surprisingly tight. I ended up creating a mount on the inside front fender, and bolting the pump to that. Also, tapping into the vacuum lines took a couple of tries to get a leak-free connection. Think ahead about this, and be prepared to get a few small parts like hose clamps or right-angle hose connectors. This would be a potential consideration for any vacuum boost added on any vacuum power-assist application with any controller. I mounted the Brakebuddy main unit under the rear seat - that was a perfect location, and much better than the often suggested location under the driver's seat. I was very pleased with the installation result. I paired this with a Nighthawk tow bar. Be warned that the tow bar's included cable will not be compatible with the Stealth, as the Brakebuddy uses a proprietary connection at the towed vehicle. The upside of this proprietary connector is that all connections are build in, including the brake away cable and the battery charging line. (I modified the Nighthawk by replacing the included cable with a 4-pin cable to power the lighting system on the bar. This is just for extra safety and cool looks - I could have just not used the tow bar's included cable). With 1,200 miles of towing behind us, I can say I am very pleased with the performance. I rarely notice any difference in braking effort or effectiveness - which is a big advantage for a proportional system. My favorite feature is the ease and speed of connecting or disconnecting the towed vehicle. I'd give this a 4.5 stars out of five if I could, because I did need to add a few parts and make a couple trips to the hardware store to complete the installation. However, the excellent performance and ease of use once installed more than makes up for the inconvenience during initial installation. Special appreciation to the people at eTrailer, especially Nicole T, who provided support and guidance from pre-sales to installation. Also, I called Brakebuddy's support line with a concern, and they immediately picked up the line, addressed my question, and offered to immediately ship any parts if needed.

Kit fits great! Hooked up a 2004 Workhorse to a 2002 Jeep Liberty. It might be preferable to be handy with some advanced mechanical skills and tools to install this efficiently. Directions are great but you do need to figure out your own locations for certain items like the break-away reservoir, compressor, routing lines and wires out of harms way, but not bad at all. Parts are great, everything there but added a couple different wiring splices of my own.

Roadmaster Universal Stop Light Switch Kit
This product worked great for me. I didn't want the brake lights in my plug-in hybrid activating my trailer brakes when all I wanted was regenerative braking. Now I can get regen by taking my foot off the gas pedal and trailer braking by putting my foot on the brake pedal.
Delivered early and everything packaged as stated

Blue Ox Patriot Portable Flat Tow Brake System - Proportional
Arrived on time. Installed it myself after watching some UTube videos. Fits abs functions great on 2014 Tiffin Red with 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Best decision I ever made since purchasing my motorhome. Easy, convenient to connect and disconnect. Everyone I communicated with at etrailer was so knowledgeable and patient and friendly. If you are thinking of towing a vehicle behind your RV, do not purchase a towing package before you contact etrailer.

Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit
Works great fairly easy install. It has been in use for the last 8 month's with no issues. Here may be some helpful hints that I found when installing. Use 10-12" long extension for 13mm nut (left side of opening panel that was removed). Install bracket. Adjust plunger & backing nut by feel. Remove bracket. Install switch with ring washer & nut. Crimp red & green wires on switch wires. Reinstall bracket under dash.
This was a little tricky to get adjusted properly, but you just have to be patient until it's in the proper place. Had to adjust the mounting bar angle slightly to get it in the right place.

Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit Installation - 2021 Chevrolet Equinox
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2021 Chevy Equinox, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch kit. Generally speaking, a stop light switch is going to be required to allow your braking system to work properly. Many different braking systems, specifically permanent-type braking systems, do require a brake signal input. So it requires to have a signal sent to it whenever the brake pedal inside of your Equinox is depressed. That way, the indicator light can function properly, as well as some other components that may require that signal from your brake pedal.
