To be honest, I use it upside down. I needed a hitch with rise, but none were available at time of purchase, and yours, inverted, works perfectly! The welds are regularly checked and remain all secure. It's a good hitch.

Working in the sand and grass of my driveway my wife and I installed our new etrailer receiver hitch. Great fit and finish! Went right on as described in the online guide. Hitch required a spacer washer on top back bolt attachment point. Taped it on so it would not move while lifting in place and it stayed right there! Used a car jack to raise up and hold the hitch into the underside of the trunk tighten the bolts and reattached the tail pipe done. Now we can pull our Sunfish Sailboat any where the car will go.

Perfectly as described, Box was a heavy hitch and the box must have been damaged in shipping so it was a little delayed. You can't mess up a forged hitch it still is in excellent condition.

I bought this to use it for the 3 inch rise it provided. I have a lowered truck and towing my car carrier would prove to be difficult at times. The 3 inch raised that this provided made the trailer stay in a more manageable position. The heavy solid metal construction is of extremely high-quality. I would not have any hesitation towing something at the rated 16,000 pound capacity.

Sturdy and feels strong / heavy. Love it, except for the part when I forget it is behind the van and run into it :)) Not pleasant. Easy to install and the drop is just right for my trailer. Before I used to have to raise the tongue all the way to the top of the jack, now it feels like it is just there. The trailer seems to be well balanced now.

After balking at the cost to have an auto-shop add a trailer to our Toyota Highlander, we found etrailer.com and decided to take a chance. We used standard block-type ramps (the kind you can buy for $40 ) to get the SUV up off the ground high enough to get underneath to do the work. Just what I needed, most receivers would not allow me to open the tail gate on my 2022 dodge ram without hitting the trailers crank used to mount and dismount the car hauler trailer, this receiver give me the extra few inches I needed and it works perfectly, I tried many local sources but they all came up too short, etrailer is the place to go for all trailer parts, they seem to know and sell exactly what you may need

For a 7,500 lb hitch, I was surprised it didn’t have a wedge support welded on where the flat iron is welded to the square tube.

This was purchased for towing a 7k GTWR utility/landscape trailer with my 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 WT 4x4. I measured for necessary drop before ordering, and the 4" drop is darn near perfect. It's a great help that the 2-5/16" ball comes complete, installed and torqued properly at the factory. Appears to be quality construction, fits and functions perfectly. I have no complaints or issues.

This is very sturdy hitch. It is made of solid steel, not tubing. It will be used on my Mazda RX-3 to tow my car dolly to the RV lot where I will swap everything around and the car will end up on the dolly behind my RV.

The Curt trailer hitch and wiring harness for my 2016 Highlander was a perfect fit. Installation was a breeze just following the etrailer videos. I opted for the 4" drop ball mount because of the Highlanders ground clearance but the standard 2" drop would have been just fine. Will use etrailer again without hesitation.
