Most Popular CURT for 2020 Ford Expedition

Replacing a steel rack that was stolen form our yard. So we thought of upgrading to a folding aluminum rack. Very easy to put together an feels solid. Folding feature works easily. One of the braces had a manufacturing defect. When I called etrailer they were very responsive and said they would get us a replacement part right away. The next day a complete new rack was sent fedex from Curt, including a return shipping label. We live in the middle of nowhere and it usually takes an extra day for most shipments to get to us. We will use the rack primarily on the back of an Expedition to haul diesel fuel cans.

We had a metal cargo carrier that was so heavy we were getting to the point we could hardly get it on with two people. Saw this one out on the road and ordered it right away. What an improvement!! Love it.

Just recieved, assembled and mounted on my 2017 Expedition. Everything I expected so far. Assembly was simple. Mounting wasn't difficult, and no noticable added noise either at slow speeds or on the highway. I haven't hauled anything yet, and plan to put some rubber caps on the U-Bolts before I do so they don't gouge my luggage because the U-Bolts stick up higher than the bars. I have read complaints about rust. I put Quick Seal tape over the tops of the joints of each of the three pieces and I'm hoping that will mitigate rust, especially on the inside of the tubing. Looks great. Just slightly wider than the inside of my stock rails, but it sits up above the rails so no issue. Will update this review if my assessment of the product decreases over the next year.

Put this on an 2023 Rav 4 Hybrid- Easy to put together. You might need two people to get it up on top. Strong. Will create some wind noise after install. Solid build and construction.

The reason I bought this basket is due to gas prices. I have a 4X4 suburban I use for camping and hunting but it takes a small loan to fill up the tank. Actually this basket cost less than it does to fill it up. So my thought was if i can get all my gear on my daily driver then i could save some money and maybe even sale the burb. So i gave it a shot last weekend. The rack was easy to put together. I had it out of the box and on the roof in under 30 minutes. As you can see in the pic, i have a rather large ice chest, chain saw, 6 man tent, gas stove and my chair on the roof. My camping destination was about 3 hours away. First was a hour of highway driving at speeds around 70. No issues there. Then 2 hours of windy back roads. No issues there either. The basket made it possible for me and my two kids to load up in the car and head to the hills for three days. The plus for me was it only takes 50$ to fill up the car. :-) I had the max weight in this basket with no issues. I'm very happy with this basket.

The box was open and damaged when I received it! When I picked it up everything fell out and got scuffed up! Also, i think you could have included an extra pin for the trailer hitch!

Easy to assemble, sturdy, well worth the money. I've used it to haul tools, luggage, and even a small 4 wheeler from SC to TX and back again. It has a tendency to rock back and forth, but I usually just include a strap or two back to the chain stays on my expedition, and it stops the wobble.

This cargo carrier is sturdy. I didn't have any problems putting it together. I took with me on a trip to Kansas City with my kids to hold our luggage. I have two teen boys and we are running out of space in the car. It's been nice to be able to just throw some stuff in the cargo carrier instead of using our roof bag. The only thing that would make it better is if it had a lighting feature.
