Most Popular 2 Inch Hitch for 2018 Freightliner M2

Hitch came on time and was easy to install being a weld on hitch. Was a good choice for my flatbed as the truck has a frame extension on it from a service box which meant a factory type hitch was not a option. Looking forward to using it more and not having to worry about hitch failure.

I bought a used dump truck that didn’t have a towing hitch. It had an under tailgate salt spreader which ran off a central hydraulic system. So essentially there was a plate with hydraulic fittings where the hitch would be. This product worked perfectly to give me the ability to tow a trailer. I welded it on and retrofitted the hydraulic couplers to the sides. Exactly what I needed.

This hitch is exactly what is needed for hauling something that requires a receiver hitch behind a class 8 tractor. I tow my Tracker behind the tractor to take it to service unhook, go home, and return to pick up finished repair. No more double trips.

Well I used it to haul a double wide over a mountain. So I'd say it worked pretty good

It was a very nice kit, we installed on a Freightliner Cascadia.

The brackets are really terrible. They are not a universal fit. But I knew this before I bought it. I only need the 44 inch tube. I had a metal fabricator cut and bend two brackets thay will sit on the inside of the truck's frame C channel. I cannot for the life me understand why these brackets are designed the way they are. Simply go to a fabricator and have a 1/4 steel plate cut to 13.25" × 6". Then have them bend it 90 degrees with 2.75" overlap so that it seats on inside of C channel. This is so logical that I can't understand why I even need to point this out.

Item was delivered today. Seems to be beefy and well made. It did have some scratches, perhaps from shipping or packaging. However, it's ok. I plan on welding it on to my motorhome soon.

It’s beefy and solid. The mounting bracket square holes had to be cut in a smidge and he added two more support bars.. but all in all. My welder said it would tow 11-12 k. Not the 16k I was told. But hey. I’m okay with that. There was a shipping issue which forced me to reschedule a few things, that is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Otherwise I am supper happy with how it turned out.

Very happy with this hitch. The size of the end plates matched the frame on our old truck and with the class V weight rating, our old truck can do a few other things around the farm now. Thank you.
