Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System Installation - 2018 Ford Edge

Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Proportional Braking System on a 2018 Ford Edge. There's five main components when flat towing your vehicle. First one on the vehicle side is gonna be the base plate and the base plate attaches to the frame of the vehicle and creates a solid attachment point for your towbar to connect to. And our towbar being the connection point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV is how your vehicle actually goes down the road. Now with that, in case of an accidental disconnect, you are gonna have some safety cables that attach to your safety chain loops here that run from the hitch to the base plate.

Hi, I'm Shane with etrailer.com. Today. I'm going to be going over the five main components for a flat tow setup on your 2018 Ford edge. We're going to have our braking system, our tow bar our safety cables, our wiring and our base plate. Now in the 2018 Ford edge, when it's being flat-towed, it requires a key to be in the on position. When the keys in the on position, while it's being flat-towed, it could potentially run your battery down.

Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit Installation - 2018 Ford Edge

Today on our 2018 Ford Edge you're gonna be taking a look at, I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit. To install our stop light switch, it's a little bit hard to see, um, up underneath our dash, so I'm gonna kind of explain it here. This is going to be our switch. We're gonna have two wires that come off of it. Uh, we're gonna have to run both of them out through the grommet and the firewall, so what I did is I used the airline tube for my breaking system when I was installing it to push that lines through there. You're gonna have a red and a green wire that come in your kit.
