These are the Vortex Aro crossbars, black in color and 46" long. These also come in silver as part number RRVA118S-2. We'll also be using part number RRSX100 and these are the Rhino-Rack SS legs for the Vortex Aero crossbars, particularly for the factory raised side rails. The Vortex Aero roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof while freeing up space inside your vehicle. Another thing to consider with this roof rack system is that you're able to loosen these up and move these back and forth to accommodate your accessories as well.

Today on our 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek we're going to be test fitting the Malone Steeltop Universal Roof Rack for Raised Side Rails, part number MPG201. The Malone Steeltop Universal Roof Rack system is a universal roof rack system designed to work with your factory raised side rails. These are square bars, so they work with a wide variety of rooftop accessories such as bike racks, kayak carriers or cargo baskets, and they also come equipped with locks on the end so you can actually secure these to your factory raised side rails once they're installed. Together the two bars hae a combined carrying capacity of 165 pounds, though you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand those weights. This is a very easy and simple installation for your side rails, and comes with all the tools necessary to install it. Part number Y03536, and these are the round-bar SL adapter kits for the Yakima Baseline, Skyline, and Timberline, and Ridgeline towers, and part number Y00147. These are the Timberline towers for Yakima crossbars, specifically for the raised factory side rails. The Yakima roof-rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof, ranging from bike racks to cargo baskets, to cargo boxes, to water-sport carriers, such as for Kayaks and canoes. To carry these items on your roof, you have two very strong and durable crossbars that have a carrying capacity of 220 pounds, although always double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your vehicle can withstand that weight on its roof. This is very easy to install. It simply wraps around the factory raised side rails of your vehicle, and can fit multiple cars with these factory side rails.

Now we already have the front one installed. As you can see, the bars themselves have a nice aerodynamic shape to them, and that's going to cut down wind noise and drag while you're driving. Also, the 2 bars combined have a carrying capacity of 165 pounds, although you want to double check with your vehicle to make sure your vehicle can withstand that kind of weight on it's roof. Now since we have the front one installed let's go ahead and show you how the rear one goes into place. We already have it partially assembled on our table here. We'll kind of fill in the blanks for you.



RockyMounts Roof Rack Review - 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek

Today on our 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek, we're going to be test fitting the RockyMounts Roof Rack system, consisting of part numbers RKY3056, which is for the RockyMounts Ouray cross bars, and part number RKY3002, and those are the flagstaff towers for the cross bars. We already have the front one installed, and you can see it has a nice aerodynamic shape to it, which is going to help cut down wind noise and drag. With the two cross bars together, they have a combined carrying capacity of 165 pounds, although you want to double check with your operator's manual to make sure that your vehicle can withstand that kind of weight on its roof. How they attach, they have these rubber straps here that run underneath your factory side rails, and snug down. We also have this portion here, which you can knock out, and that will lock for additional security to prevent theft and tampering. Let's go ahead and show you how the rear one installs. Thule Roof Rack Review - 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek

Today, on this 2014 Subaru XV CrossTrek, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Aeroblade Edge Roof Rack System. Part #TH7502. As you can see, we have the front one installed already and it just simply clamps on to the raised factory side rails as you can see here. This is an Aeroblade which actually has a nice, aerodynamic design which will cut down your wind noise and drag. How it sits on the bar is actually, somewhat looks like it's part of the vehicle already. Let's go ahead and show you how the rear one goes on. Go ahead and set that back here.



Rola Roof Rack Review - 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek

Today on our 2014 Suburu XV Crosstrek we're going to be test fitting the Rola Sport Series Roof Rack, part number 59898. These are made for factory side rails specifically. The bars themselves are about 47" long and as you can see we have the front one already installed. It has a nice shape that will cut down wind noise and drag. Let's go ahead and show you how the rear one installs. As you can see, I already have it unhooked here which simply just pops in like so and locks. We just open it up and our foot packs are open as well.



Rhino Rack Roof Rack Review - 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek

Today on this 2014 Subaru xv Crosstrek, we're going to be test fitting the Rhino Rack Vortex StealthBar roof rack, part number JA7973. As you can see we have the front rack installed already. Lets go ahead and show you how the rear one installs. This roof rack is specifically designed for raised factor roof rail. We already have one side of our rack here set to go with the straps to go around the bars. I'll show you how that goes for the other side. First you have to remove this bolt here, and you have to remove it all the way.

Today on a 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek, we're doing a test fit of the Inno Aero Bar Roof Racking System. The crossbar numbers are INXB100-108 and the feet are INXS100. Now, we have the 108 already on in front of vehicle. We have a feet already on too. Over here, I have the rest of the part, which we're going to put on. The 100 fits on the back. We have a feet, one foot on and put the other one on.



Thule AeroBlade Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek

Today, on our 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek, we're going to be dong a test fit on the Thule Rapid Crossroad Roof rack system using the 53 inch Thule Aero Blades. The part numbers are TH450R and THARB53. To begin our test fit, we're going to place the front half of our roof rack up here onto the front roof line of the vehicle. As we do it, we're going to try to get the black rubber coated straps around the underside of our side rails. It's kind of sometimes hard to do there on the driver's side from this side. We're going to use our fixed point here, where the side rail meets the front, we're going to measure back from that 2 inches to the leading edge of our foot pack.
