24x60 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
This is an excellent buy. Great price and a well made product. Easy to assemble, takes five to ten minutes.
The rack is much bigger than my previous one. I was disappointed that it was made in China instead of the USA. It assembled very easily and the light kit works very well. The only draw back is I can no longer open my tailgate with the rack installed due to the spare tire hitting the raised rack.

17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
I already reviewed this product, just adding a few pictures of it on our vehicle. The hatch clears the carrier when empty, but loaded might be a different story. Just have to make sure we load the trunk first.
Package arrived as scheduled. Packaging was not in the best shape, looks like it had been caught on something and one side was ripped open, then taped shut. I opened the box and the packaging around the shelf was not real secure, causing the shelf to slide back and forth inside the box. This caused some minor scuffing on the rails of the shelf, but nothing major. Assembly was easy, but I would recommend that when you put it together, start with the two plates that join the shelf, then use the three bolts for the actual hitch post. I did it the other way and when I tightened the three bolts, it separated the shelf on the top side. I ended up using a tie-down strap to pull the tow pieces together so that I could get rid of the gap on the top rail of the shelf. Once I did this, the shelf came together just fine. The anti-rattle locking hitch pint is GREAT! Installed easily and eliminated any extra movement from the shelf. Equipment is satisfactory, shipping and packaging could use some improvements. Overall satisfied with the purchases.

19x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Aluminum - Folding - 500 lbs
I bought this cargo carrier to haul my wife's wheelchair when we go on vacation. The "foldable connection bar" is not long enough to let me fold the cargo carrier up on my 2013 Subaru Crosstrek. I could have bought an aluminum carrier locally that did not fold up.
This cargo carrier was excellent for a cross-country roadtrip we took last summer and we've used it many times since! We use it with our 2019 Subaru Crosstrek.

20x47 Reese Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" Hitches - Steel - 300 lbs
This is an excellent buy. Great price and a well made product. Easy to assemble, takes five to ten minutes.
This is great cargo basket: solid and secure, easy assembly, well designed. The angled neck keeps the basket well away from the ground; I haven’t had any problems with it bottoming out. My first use was actually on a trip back from Florida following Powered Paragliding training. I was intending to bring back just a Paramotor (which would have stood vertically inside the basket), but ended up bringing back a whole Trike assembly! Mounted it on the basket as shown, and it rode just fine back through four states. Got a lot of looks on the way home! I concur with an earlier reviewer that a neat trick is to use a stabilizer strap from the hitch to the corner of the basket. There is plenty of slop in the receiver when the neck is inserted, and a short ratcheting tie down cancels the rattle effectively. I’m very pleased with this purchase; and while I don’t plan to haul around anything as big as that trike, I look forward to many more years of use from it!

Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp - 77" Long - 500 lbs
I can't say I'm entirely happy with my purchase. The instructions were more confusing than helpful. Note in "instruction.jpg" photo of STEP 1 that the text says to put the 8 small bolts in from the inside first, but the drawing clearly shows them as going in from the outside. The last step says to place the ramp onto the receiver as shown.... glad I didn't throw away the box because there is no drawing that shows ramp installation. Actually, the photo on the box was more helpful than any of the instructions. Also, I need to make a trip to the hardware store to buy longer medium bolts because the ones that came with the carrier were not long enough to fully engage the self locking feature of the nylon lock nuts. At a minimum a couple of threads should protrude beyond the nylon. See photo "nut.jpg". The bolt threads don't reach the end of the nylon, so the self locking feature is not fully engaged. I did tighten the nut, but that was as far as it would go. I think once I get back from the hardware store with the new medium bolts and after I reverse the 8 small bolts (I followed the drawing and not the text of the instructions), I'll be OK with the carrier.
"Instantly Get Rid of Wobble and Upgrade With Lights" This is not a 5 because ramp should be longer & there should be some type stabilizer to temporary hold bike while strapping down, I'd pay more for those upgrades. The wobble can instantly be solved by hooking Tie-Straps closest to vehicle directly to the receiver where you hook your chains, rather than hooking them to the provided holes on carrier itself. You of course use the provided strap holes ones on the opposite side. When strapped down as stated, the carrier now becomes one with the vehicle & @ 80mph there is no wobble. (*TIP: Put ramp back in its place before strapping down or else it won't fit with the strap hooks in the way.) I upgraded mine with lights for both safety reasons & not needing the Police any reason to pull me over. It was very simple and cost me nothing but time & maybe $50. I recommend this product whole heartedly.

Carrier and box will be moved to hitch on 209 Solitude Rv to provide extra cargo carrying ability
A good size and very strong. I like the fact that it has a grated bottom, as opposed to a few bars like many of its competitors. There are many holes and notches present for any customization desired. Also makes for a great chair to relax. I also ordered the anti-rattle pin so as to fasten this tightly to the hitch. IMO that should be included with any of these trailer-hitch-Mount accessories.

20x48 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs
This is an excellent buy. Great price and a well made product. Easy to assemble, takes five to ten minutes.
This is a sturdy carrier. Welds all seem good. Paint is just fine. Steel tubing is very strong. The weight is heavy but reasonable for one person to install and remove. I plan to remove it when not in use on our trip to avoid having to fold it up and lose ability to access the hatch on our van. It has a bit of play in both the receiver and on the folding hinge. I’m going to use construction shims taped in place to reduce the wiggle but even without those, it’s not bad. Even with a jumbo cooler, we can still see the plate. This will do the trick for vacation and camping gear without having to haul a massive 60” carrier. Love the size and build.

With it in this position we have full access to the rear hatch of our vehicle to get whatever we need. It also has this nice raised shank so even with hitches with low-clearance such as this one, clearance is not going to be an issue between the cargo carrier and the ground. I'm going to go ahead and give you a couple measurements now.

It has a nice mesh for it on both the cargo carrier itself and the ramp which makes it easy to clean comes equipped with reflectors as well as these points, the front and sides, which will serve as tie down points for either your ratchet straps or your bungee cords. With the carrier in this position, I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements now. Measuring from the bumper to this outer rail here, that's about 42 inches added to the rear of our vehicle. For our ground clearance to this edge here, it's about 11 inches. Then our closest distance which should be the inner rail is going to be about 12 inches as well.

Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek
Today on this 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek, we're going to be test fitting the 23 x 60 Stromberg Carlson Cargo Carrier, part number CC-100. This does have a carrying capacity of 500 pounds and has this mesh floor, which makes it easy to clean, and it has these points here all the way around the cargo carrier, which will serve as tie-down points for either your ratchet straps or your bungee cords. You look on the front here, there's going to be these 3 predrilled holes here on each side, and you can use that for either lights or reflectors if you want to add those, as well as these 2 predrilled points here, which if your gear is going to be covering up your license plate, you can relocate it to this location. I'm going to give you some measurements now. Measuring from the bumper to this outer edge here, we've added about 28 inches to the rear of our vehicle. From the bottom of this bolt here, it's going to be about 10 inches for our ground clearance. Our closest point, this inner edge is going to be about 4-1/2 inches. The exhaust on this vehicle is going to be on the passenger side, and it faces down away from the cargo carrier, so I really don't think you have to worry about any heat-sensitive materials being put onto your cargo carrier on the passenger side at least. Right now, we have full access to our rear hatch to get anything we need.
Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek
Today on this 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek, we're going to be test fitting the 20 x 60 Curt Cargo Carrier, part number C18151. This has a 500-lb carrying capacity and it also has this mesh floor here which makes it easy to clean and it has this railing all the way around the cargo carrier which you can use as a tie down point for either your ratchet straps or your bungee cords. I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements now. The first being how much we've added, measuring from the bumper to this outer rail here, we've added about 34" to the rear of the vehicle. For our ground clearance, this edge here, that's going to be about 12-1/4" and our closest point to this inner rail is going to be about 13-1/4". The exhaust on this vehicle is going to be on the passenger side, and it's actually going to face down away from the cargo carrier, so I really wouldn't worry too much about putting heat sensitive material into your cargo carrier, I don't think you're going to have any problems with that. We do, at this point, have full access to our rear hatch, I am going to go ahead and give you a break over point measurement though and that's going to be the point where the hatch itself would make contact with whatever it is you're hauling. Which, in this case, doesn't seem to be a problem, it doesn't come over your cargo carrier at all since it comes out so far. Next we'll go ahead and show off the nice feature here where it actually folds up.

It also has this rail all the way around this cargo carrier, which can be used as a tie it on 00:00:19 point for either your rucksack straps 00:00:21 or your bungee cords. Now, I'm measuring from the bumper here to an outer rail, we've added about 28 3/4 to the rear of the vehicle. For a ground clearance to this point here, we're about 14 1/2 inches.

Our ground clearance from this bolt portion here, that's going to be about fifteen inches.
Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek

It's design for use in two inch hitches and it has a 400 pound weight capacity. Part number on it is PS1040100. Now to begin our test fit, what I like to do, I always put this on by myself and it's a little awkward for just one person but a style that I've developed for doing it and it works very well. Its just to kind of slide the carrier up here to the rear of the vehicle. We want the shank to be resting right there in the bottom of the receive tube, then we are going to lift up on the rear of the carrier and push in at the same time. And it will allow to slide that right in.
