I bought the Curt Q16 to replace a slide-bar hitch. I really like the way the jaws wrap around the kingpin. It also has a lot smoother pull than any other hitch I've used. The composite bushing that the head mounts in really helps absorb the jerking you get while driving down some of the bumpy highways, especially when pulling a double hook-up. The status indicator that can be seen inside the cab is also a plus.

The information also helped so I could have an informed discussion with the RV repair tech who was saying it would take 4 hours to install the Curt Hitch. Truly happy with this product and can't wait to go to work! etrailer sent me everything I requested and the installer had no problems. Everything was packed well in shipping with no problems.

Simple well built product. Easy to assemble for use (about 15 min). The way I did it was to Assemble loosely at first, Then pin the hitch on the rails. After that I tightened everything up. I put the adjustment to highest position then I would adjust downward to get the the truck and trailer level. I found putting the hitch to its highest and then adjust the pin box as high as possible gave me the extra clearance I wanted between the tailgate and the trailer pin box bracket. I have one of those 5' 6" beds to deal with. Fit great.

My current bw companion says on it that you can not use it with the sidewinder. Used the chat to get info on using my existing sidewinder on my new truck. The person from etrailer built me a cart with everything I needed. Except it's not compatible. I have a Ford with the factory prep. They told me there was no way to use it. I got the rail system they recommended only to find out that it doesn't work. Also this wedge they recommended doesn't not fit the sidewinder. Just buy local and save the headache. Now I have to schedule a Ups drop off and leave work early to bring 300lbs of boxes to ship back.

Product was delivered in a few days, and well packaged. Instructions were very clear, and instalation was simple as the rails were already in the truck I removed a Valley Fifth Wheel, and this went right into where it was. Great product. Very happy with it.

This hitch is average at best. It has been garage kept and already sticking and not opening properly. I have owned a 5th wheel camper my entire life and the 2 prior hitches was never serviced and gave no issues. I would not recommend this hitch to no one....

This 5th wheel has exceeded all my expectations. It’s worked flawlessly for thousands of miles and many different type of 5th wheels trailers. Not a peep, B&W FTW!!

The Anderson ultimate hitch has met my expectations in every way. It doesn't take two men and a boy to install to tow your RV and when you need to use your pickup to haul stuff it's light and just as easy to remove it. Hooks up and unhook with little effort.

They advertise you can be within 3” of hitch and still connect I found that you need to be almost perfect. And to latch and unlatch there can’t be any pressure going up or weight going down, you have about a 1/4” to play with. I found it to be rougher when pulling than a normal fifth wheel hitch. It is very light though.

Received the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch very timely from UPS. It looks very well built. We (my husband and myself) put it together and had it installed in about a half hour (Very easy with the right tools). We are going camping this weekend. I will take a couple pictures and will let you know how it does.....

I bought a fifth wheel hitch and found an [online] video for my truck and hitch that was extremely helpful, especially since all the RV dealers in the area were two months out to install it. All in all dealing with etrailer has been a great experience and I will definitely be going back for any of my other RV needs!

Ive been using this fifth wheel set up for about 5 months now and I don't have any complaints. I pull a 2022 Heartland Cyclone 4006 toyhauler fifth wheel. Loaded down its usually weighing between 18 to 20,000 lbs depending on what we are hauling.

I have ran a cheap competitor hitch for several years. A manufacturing defect (welded pivot pin) caused the hitch to fail and resulted in 18000$ damage to my truck and trailer. I chose the Curt 25000# hitch after much research and found it to be very well made and clearly shows when it is properly coupled. It is quiet and operates with minimal klunking and chunking going down the road. Overall I am very pleased.

This is a top notch, very well built hitch. Dropped right in to my oem puck system on a 2024 Chev 2500 hd. The first hookup was so smooth that I wasn’t sure I was even on my kingpin. E trailer had it delivered the next day from ordering!! The other important thing to note is this hitch takes up a 17” x 30” footprint which is way smaller than an Andersen base.

Like most say the packaging could be better. But it came without any scratches and looks awesome. Didn’t take long to install. Directions were easy. Can’t wait to try it out! As always, eTrailer rocks. Will continue to purchase from them.

I am very pleased with my purchase of the Reese M5, a major improvement over my old receiver. Great service from etrailer as well.

Parts arrived for the DM 8550043, received only the hitch base plate and adjustable shaft for the hitch head. Have been told that the hitch head is shipped separately. Now have a problem with the hitch plate fitting the bed rails. The holes for the pin that secures the hitch plate to the rails are to close to the bottom of the hitch plate photos are given of the problem a pencil was used for reference. There is NO WAY the pin will go through the rail and hitch plate. Waiting on a solution from etrailer. The hole that you can barely see the pencil is tailgate rails pin fits fine.

The truck that got the install is a 2002 Ford F350 Super Duty 7.3 L Diesel dually. The Demco Recon 5th wheel hitch (DM8550043) looks like a well made, heavy duty hitch. All the welds are precise and well done. I like the single wrap around jaw with the real thick bar that backs that up. The handle that pulls out to unlock the jaw moves with ease and locks in the out position when the jaw opens. When the king pin comes in contact with the back of jaw, the jaw wraps around the king pin, the handle closes, you put in the safety pin and your ready to go RVing. I chose the Husky Custom Rails and installation kit (HT31405-686) for my install. The reason I chose these rails over the ones that etrailer had matched up for the hitch is, I had previously installed a set of Airlift Airbags and I didn't want the rail install to interfere with the airbags. It was a good choice, there was no interference at all. If I had not had the bags, I would have chose the rails and install kit that require no drilling. Drilling the holes went very fast and easy, it was torking the rear bolts down that was very difficult. There was not enough room to get a wrench of any kind around the nut. I wound up using a set of vise grips on the nut while a friend of mine torked the bolt slowly from above. All and all I'm happy with the product and I'll give another review in a year.

Installation was very easy! The instructions are easy to read and understand also. Everything about this hitch is top quality heavy duty materials. I do not see anything “cheap” about it. Of all the products I have purchased from E-Trailer, the CURT 5th wheel hitch has been the most disappointing. After installing the unit, I noticed workmanship items that are not consistent with a high quality unit. The legs and main body did not consistently align and there is excessive chucking (in my opinion) that occurs while traveling. When I addressed this with CURT, I received no response regarding the misalignment and was told the chucking was within industry standards! Two previous 5th wheel hitches did not "chuck" as this unit does. When I addressed these concerns with E-Trailer and requested a refund, I was informed since the unit had been installed no refund was allowable. I asked how I would hear/feel the chucking w/o installing and got no viable response then as well. I will eventually go with a GenY gooseneck adapter. Do not support CURT, they do not stand behind their products and customer service is pretty much nonexistent!!

Hitch works great, can now hook up to trailer without having to stop & put up tailgate, then finish backing up. Tailgate would hit front of trailer when hooking up. The two things I didn’t like as well as others, the box with the base unit was tore up, but unit was fine , and the cotter pins for puck latches need to include extras, or make holes bigger for keeper pins. Also added small chains to hairpins that hold look pins for top so they don’t get lost.

I ordered it on Monday and received it on Wednesday! The B&W Companion hitch fit perfect on my F-350 and was easy to install. The instructional videos on the website are great!! The trailer hitch is perfect and it is used all the time pulling an RV. If I do this again I will do it at the same place.

I like it’s design and how it sits in the bed. It seems to want to rotate some while pulling. I see some reviews that other people are having this problem also. Some have put a bolt down through the base into the truck bed. I haven’t wanted to do that as of yet. Otherwise I like the hitch.

Etrailer description failed to mention that this would not work with a B&W OEM prep ball. They did have a recommendation for a ball so add $[XX] plus a month wait for the ball that works.
