Strong and seems to be well made and well finished. One-inch ball mounting hole. I used this for a Curt hitch mounted on a 2014 Forester and pulls a small Harbor Freight trailer. Perfect height and trailer is level. Warning - don't get their hitch pin, it does not have a hole for a cotter pin, only a weak clip that I would not trust.

I searched the internet to put a hitch on my 2016 Chevy Equinox and found an instructional video from eTrailer.com where they installed on my exact car. I decided to go with eTrailer.com because they answered all my questions and because of the video-I support businesses that go the extra mile with these videos. Shipping was quick and well tracked, however, the box was flimsy and the one end of the hitch had come out of the box side and the ball mount could have easily come out of that hole during shipping. If I were eTrailer.com I'd charge an extra couple of bucks for more sturdy boxes-people will still buy as eTrailer is a well-trusted brand and this would overcome a lot of the negative reviews you'll see on their site about this shipping issue in their own reviews :-) I installed the hitch by myself (definitely recommend help as two people holding it up to the frame makes attaching 100% easier) in about 45 minutes total (out of the box, read instructions, review video again and installation complete). All hardware went on with no issues. Great quality hitch! I also bought the lesser expensive wiring assembly because most recent equinox's come hitch ready with pre-wired assembly in the left side compartment-snap and done. Picked up a new trailer at Home Depot within days and drove 5 feet and the clacking was horrible. I had always had a welded hitch before buying a hitch that took a ball mount. I really thought something was wrong and when I searched the internet that night it turns out this is very common. However, all you need is some sort of hitch "silencing" device. The number of options will drive you mad but I went with the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch and it did the trick for much less than most of the other options. If I were eTrailer.com I'd have that as one of the RECOMMENDED add-ons and explanation why its super-worthy when customers are buying a hitch. Would have saved me the time and hassle of dealing with it later and the extra shipping charge for buying after the fact when I got free shipping for the other items the first time :-) All in all, I'm super, super happy with my hitch, wiring assembly, ball mount, ball mount locking pin and the hitch silencer. Very happy with this ball mount - provides just the amount of drop we required for a level tow of our GeoPro travel trailer by our RAM2500. Plus, the extra length not only allows a tighter turning radius, but also allows us to lower the truck tailgate without having to detach the trailer. Huge improvement on all accounts for us compared to our prior setup. The product is well built and I'm confident will provide us years of good use.

Your packaging it's lousy, package arrived with a receiver size hole in the end of box . Guess what the box was empty . This is the second time I have had problems with your company !

We sold our small motor home and purchased a small travel trailer. This hitch provided a perfect solution to how to use our bike rack while towing the trailer. It even allows room for the pickup tailgate to be lowered without removing the bikes from the rack. The hitch is very hefty with a high weight limit - plenty for the GVW of the trailer (7,000#) plus 125# of rack and bikes.

This has been an amazing multipurpose ball mount. We purchased this to use with our Hollywood Bike Rack and also to connect onto our boat. We weren't sure if this would work, but it was awesome. It is very well built and We had to make some minor adjustments to the position of our boat on the trailer so the turning radius of the bike rack that was attached would clear the truck. This is very well made and solid.

The hitch and ball mount are excellent quality. My concerns are twofold. The hitch is so heavy that I had to take it to my mechanic to have it installed. Minor cost and inconvenience, but the hitch for my previous F-150 was just as sturdy, but easy to install myself (albeit with higher ground clearance). My concern about the ball mount is that the factory told me erroneously that it could not be reversed for a drop, so I returned it. This order is for the replacement after I was finally correctly told it could be reversed and how to do that. Ball mount would have been a 3 for that reason, and overall hitch and ball mount quality a 5. So I averaged them.

I have two of these. My first I bought two years ago. I very highly recommend this Curt Class III Ballmount 2" Drop because of its price, durability and quality. I towed various class 3 loads with ease and confidence with this ballmount. It slides into the hitch and does its job without fail. It looks excellent after towing a load. etrailer's price is about as good as it gets and delivery is very speedy.

I tried twice to get this hitch and ball from [online vendor]. Twice the shipment was lost and I had to get a refund. Shipment from etrailer is right the first time and arrived quickly. Plus, since the ball is already torqued on the ball mount, I don't need to by a large socket.

Purchased this hitch as a companion for our Reese anti sway control. The small ball for the Reese sway control fits in the bracket and the 2” drop on the hitch is exactly what we needed to have our Jayco camper level when towing.

I cannot use this ball mount because the shaft is too short that goes into hitch receiver on my one ton Dodge truck. It does not allow enough room between truck back bumper and ball to allow any trailer tongue to be put on ball.

This was purchased for towing a 7k GTWR utility/landscape trailer with my 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 WT 4x4. I measured for necessary drop before ordering, and the 4" drop is darn near perfect. It's a great help that the 2-5/16" ball comes complete, installed and torqued properly at the factory. Appears to be quality construction, fits and functions perfectly. I have no complaints or issues.

WHat a difference having the right drop has on handling. A great product - highly reocmmend.

I didn’t receive the ball mount. Only thing in the box was anti rattle device

I’m pleased with the product and how prompt the delivery was. However the packaging was insufficient and the packaging was torn open all over. Scuffing of the finish is a result and of little consequence due to the intended use. It’s a stinger w/ball for motorhome. May I suggest better packaging in the future

For a 7,500 lb hitch, I was surprised it didn’t have a wedge support welded on where the flat iron is welded to the square tube.

Just what I needed, most receivers would not allow me to open the tail gate on my 2022 dodge ram without hitting the trailers crank used to mount and dismount the car hauler trailer, this receiver give me the extra few inches I needed and it works perfectly, I tried many local sources but they all came up too short, etrailer is the place to go for all trailer parts, they seem to know and sell exactly what you may need
