Best 1997 Nissan Pickup Trailer Hitch Ball Mounts

Strong and seems to be well made and well finished. One-inch ball mounting hole. I used this for a Curt hitch mounted on a 2014 Forester and pulls a small Harbor Freight trailer. Perfect height and trailer is level. Warning - don't get their hitch pin, it does not have a hole for a cotter pin, only a weak clip that I would not trust.

I searched the internet to put a hitch on my 2016 Chevy Equinox and found an instructional video from eTrailer.com where they installed on my exact car. I decided to go with eTrailer.com because they answered all my questions and because of the video-I support businesses that go the extra mile with these videos. Shipping was quick and well tracked, however, the box was flimsy and the one end of the hitch had come out of the box side and the ball mount could have easily come out of that hole during shipping. If I were eTrailer.com I'd charge an extra couple of bucks for more sturdy boxes-people will still buy as eTrailer is a well-trusted brand and this would overcome a lot of the negative reviews you'll see on their site about this shipping issue in their own reviews :-) I installed the hitch by myself (definitely recommend help as two people holding it up to the frame makes attaching 100% easier) in about 45 minutes total (out of the box, read instructions, review video again and installation complete). All hardware went on with no issues. Great quality hitch! I also bought the lesser expensive wiring assembly because most recent equinox's come hitch ready with pre-wired assembly in the left side compartment-snap and done. Picked up a new trailer at Home Depot within days and drove 5 feet and the clacking was horrible. I had always had a welded hitch before buying a hitch that took a ball mount. I really thought something was wrong and when I searched the internet that night it turns out this is very common. However, all you need is some sort of hitch "silencing" device. The number of options will drive you mad but I went with the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch and it did the trick for much less than most of the other options. If I were eTrailer.com I'd have that as one of the RECOMMENDED add-ons and explanation why its super-worthy when customers are buying a hitch. Would have saved me the time and hassle of dealing with it later and the extra shipping charge for buying after the fact when I got free shipping for the other items the first time :-) All in all, I'm super, super happy with my hitch, wiring assembly, ball mount, ball mount locking pin and the hitch silencer. This is a great product, well built and matches my chrome bumper. My truck is lowered so I needed a sturdy product with a good rise to compensate. This hitch, along with the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch from etrailer and the Fastway Trailer Hitch locks work together nicely.

Looks good and functions even better. I have the hitch fully adjusted and never had an issue. Gotten a ton of compliments! Would highly recommend!

The hitch and ball mount are excellent quality. My concerns are twofold. The hitch is so heavy that I had to take it to my mechanic to have it installed. Minor cost and inconvenience, but the hitch for my previous F-150 was just as sturdy, but easy to install myself (albeit with higher ground clearance). My concern about the ball mount is that the factory told me erroneously that it could not be reversed for a drop, so I returned it. This order is for the replacement after I was finally correctly told it could be reversed and how to do that. Ball mount would have been a 3 for that reason, and overall hitch and ball mount quality a 5. So I averaged them.

I have two of these. My first I bought two years ago. I very highly recommend this Curt Class III Ballmount 2" Drop because of its price, durability and quality. I towed various class 3 loads with ease and confidence with this ballmount. It slides into the hitch and does its job without fail. It looks excellent after towing a load. etrailer's price is about as good as it gets and delivery is very speedy.

Received the Class II Drawbar 5-1/2" Rise or 6" Drop - BM96 in a timely manner. The rise was what I was looking for to use with my Polaris ATV 570 since its standard receiver is 1-1\4 hitch and sits low to the ground. This was just the right height to pull my john boat behind the ATV.

I just purchased a new hideaway hitch system. But the hitch sits only 15 inches off the ground at best. And, my trailer coupling is 22-23 inches off ground. So l needed 7-8 inches of rise on the new 1.25 inch receiver system. Internet research took me to etrailer and the Brophy hitch. I got 5.5 inches with the Brophy hitch, the highest available for a 1.25 inch receiver I could find. The others are limited to 5 inches max. I added another 1.5 inches with your Curt shock absorbing hitch. Voila, with a combined 7 inches of rise and on level ground the trailer now rides perfectly level!!!! Both parts were very easy to connect. Delivery was speedy. Thank you for saving the day and my investment in an expensive new hideaway hitch!

The Curt trailer hitch and wiring harness for my 2016 Highlander was a perfect fit. Installation was a breeze just following the etrailer videos. I opted for the 4" drop ball mount because of the Highlanders ground clearance but the standard 2" drop would have been just fine. Will use etrailer again without hesitation.

I purchased this hitch to pull my utility trailer with. It was easy to order, arrived on time, and simple to install/use. This hitch is built very well and strong, and has a good coating finish on it. Great product!

This is a great all-purpose hitch. I've used it to mount a heavy-duty bike rack and a steel T-rack to carry a canoe as well as lumber. Most recently I hauled 5 x 8 cargo trailers full of plants, then furniture for a 600-mile move. It was simple to use, problem free, very strong and sturdy. Now that I live on some acreage, I see a trailer in my future, so this will get a lot more use. I drive a 2013 Tacoma, so this is a good size hitch at a good price with sufficient capacity for my needs. I do use a key lock for the hitch as well.

Just your basic ball mount, the product is just like most 2” Hitch ball mounts, the service wasn’t very good though. Ordered on June 15th (product was in stock) took them 6 days to send it out, took another 6 days in shipping and got all the way to my post office two days before leaving on vacation (I needed it for the vacation) and the post office said “box was empty and they notified seller” etrailer sent a new one (got here a week after my vacation) in a damaged box (packaging is horrible, little bit of paper in a box with a 5 lbs ball mount) almost lost this one too. I don’t believe I’ll be using etrailer in the future (had issues before)
