This Blue Ox base plate kit bolts directly to the chassis to give you solid attachment points for your tow bar. The sturdy design spreads towing force evenly to help protect your suspension during long hauls. With a 24" distance between brackets and an 18" bracket height, you can plan your setup with confidence. The fixed arms provide a durable, no-nonsense connection that stays ready for every trip.

The low-profile reinforcements and crossbar support beam blend in well with your vehicle’s bumper, keeping the front end clean and balanced when you’re not towing. The visible fixed arms maintain a straightforward design without bulky hardware or extra crossbars taking away from the factory appearance.
Made from heavy-duty steel and finished with a rust-resistant powder coat, this base plate can handle thousands of miles of towing while standing up to weather and road debris. The solid welds and steel build give it the toughness you need for long-term reliability on every trip.
Installation is straightforward with no welding required. The kit bolts securely to your chassis using the included mounting hardware, giving you a tight, confidence-inspiring fit. Once installed, the base plate provides secure lugs that pair directly with Blue Ox tow bars for a stable, dependable connection every time you hook up.
Already running a different system? This kit works with Roadmaster tow bars when paired with adapter part # RM-031 or RM-031-5, and with Demco tow bars using adapter part # DM9523041 (each sold separately). That flexibility lets you keep your preferred towing gear without changing your whole setup.

Glad the install went smoothly, Grant! Even with those weird handle nuts (which I agree are kind of odd). What's the first trip you have planned? And I will let Alex know what you said as well! : )

Thanks for your review, Richard! It sounds like this was a fairly involved installation, but we're glad to hear everything came together successfully in the end. We appreciate you sharing the details of your process, especially the tips about the tight frame rail clearance and drilling challenges, as those insights may help other RV owners tackling the same project. Thanks for including the photo as well. Your finished installation looks great! Now that it's installed and you're moving on to the diode kit and brake away switch, what adventure are you looking forward to most this summer in your RV?
