Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this TowSmart tri-ball mount with the hook for two inch hitches. Has a 10,000 pound maximum gross towing weight capacity. Now this ball mount right here has the built-in hitch balls that'll let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. Basically, you just simply rotate the shank to the hitch ball that you want to use. You got a choice of one of three chrome plated hitch balls.
You have the smaller 1 7/8 diameter, on the other side you have the two inch diameter, and the larger one is the 2 5/16 inch diameter ball. Also has the hook right here that'll let you attach chains, cables, or ropes for recovery operations. Again, the application, this will slide into a two inch by two inch trailer hitch receiver. The shank is a solid steel shank. Has a nice black powder coat finish on it.
Now when you do secure this in your hitch, it will require a hitch pin and clip to secure it. Now those are not included. We do sell those separately. The diameter on the hitch pin holes are 5/8 of an inch. Now the gross towing weight capacity will vary.
It'll depend on the hitch ball size that you use. If you use the smaller 1 7/8 inch ball, it's 2,000 pounds. The two inch ball is 6,000 pounds. And the largest 2 5/16 ball would be 10,000 pounds. The hook capacity is stamped at 10,000 pounds.
Now the overall length from one end to the other is 12 inches. And the length from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball, if you use the 2 5/16 diameter ball from this hitch pin hole to this is gonna be seven inches. If you use either the two inch or the 1 7/8 inch ball, the distance between the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball is eight inches. But that should do it for a look at the TowSmart tri-ball mount with the hook for two inch hitches.
