Ever feel that hard jolt every time your trailer hits a bump? This mount’s built-in air bag and rubber bumpers take care of that. They absorb road shock and reduce chucking so you get a smoother, more comfortable ride. By isolating those bumps instead of transferring them through the frame, it helps protect your truck and trailer from premature wear and tear on the brakes, chassis, and suspension.
No two loads are the same, and this hitch lets you dial in the ride. The air valve on the side of the unit lets you adjust the bag pressure to match your trailer’s tongue weight. Add air for heavy loads up to the 10,000 lb gross towing weight or release some for lighter setups to keep things smooth without making it stiff. Once inflated so the bumper rests flush against the top of the hitch, you know you’ve got the right pressure for your load.
Level towing matters for control and braking. This ball mount gives you a maximum rise of 2" and a maximum drop of 2", with five available positions so you can match trailer height quickly. Just pull the easy-to-grip pins, slide the platform to the right spot, reinsert, and clip them back in place. The 2" ball sits on a solid steel platform that stays exactly where you set it.
When you’re hauling serious weight, strength matters most. The Grade 50 steel plates and cold-rolled steel shank give this mount a 12,000 lb frame rating with a 1,000 lb maximum tongue weight. It’s finished with a shot-blasted powder coat for durability, and the zinc-plated 2" ball resists corrosion even after long trips in bad weather. Three large adjustment pins with D-handles make setup fast and solid every time.
Standard mounts can rattle and clank when you’re on uneven roads. This shock-absorbing design reduces noise by limiting movement between components, keeping your tow setup steady and quiet mile after mile. It’s straightforward gear that makes towing smoother from hookup to highway.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this Shocker Hitch Air Receiver with adjustable ball mount for two-inch hitches. This features an airbag and cushioned bump stops that provide smooth and comfortable ride while limiting chucking and jerking, to give you a better control of your tow vehicle and trailer, helping to extend the life of your truck and trailer by protecting them from unnecessary wear and tear and reducing noise and rattle common when towing with standard ball mounts. So this is going to hook your trailer to your tow vehicle with the included adjustable ball mount and two-inch ball. Now included are two easy-to-remove pins and clips, and these pins have these large rings that are gonna be very easy to grasp. I can stick up to about four of my fingers through each of these rings, and then they can be folded to get out of your way as well.
So you're not gonna be fumbling with small hitch pin heads and these large safety clips are going to make removing the clips and replacing them very easy, very effortless. Let me go ahead and just give you a brief demonstration of how this can be adjusted. So I have this at the maximum rise position and that maximum rise is gonna be right at about two inches. And then, let me go ahead and remove our pins and just drop this down and let me see if we can put it all the way down to our maximum drop, line up our holes here, and our maximum drop is gonna be right about one inch. So those pins go in pretty easily.
And then, let me turn this around and replace our clips, and we are good to go. So very easy to adjust this. Again, our maximum rise is about two inches. The maximum drop is about one inch. The inside width of this channel is about 3 3/4 inches.
And then, the distance between the vertical adjustment holes can be one inch. Now you can mount any Shocker Hitch accessory including a pencil hook, a clevis pin, and draw bar attachments in the channel to hook up to even more trailers. Of course, those attachments are sold separately but you can find them under the related product section on this product page if you are interested in checking out those other attachments by Shocker Hitch. Now this air hitch works like a teeter totter with the airbag on one end and your trailer coupler on the other end. And your trailer exerts force downward, the unit pivots and the airbag absorbs the energy.
And when your trailer jerks backwards or pushes forward, these two cushioned bump stops are going to reduce the force for a smoother ride. Now, the airbag is easily adjustable. For heavier loads, you would just simply add more air. And for lighter loads, you would just let the air out. And we have a valve right here that's going to make adding or removing air very easy. To determine the correct amount of air to use, you would simply hook your trailer up and then load the trailer the way you are going to tow it. And then, you wanna add air until these bump stops begin to compress. And once they begin to compress, then you should have the right amount of air in your airbag for your load and you are ready to go. This has a Zerk fitting right here at the pivot point that's going to make maintenance very simple. And this is made in the USA of a Grade 50 steel plate construction and a cold-rolled steel shank to provide maximum durability. It is also shot-blasted and powdercoated to prevent rust, and the ball itself is zinc-plated. The gross towing weight is 12,000 pounds and the tongue weight is 1,200 pounds but you do wanna remember that a towing setup is always limited by its lowest rated component, whether that be your vehicle, your hitch, or another component. Again, this is going to fit your two-inch trailer hitch receiver. The hitch pinhole diameter is 5/8 of an inch and a pin and clip is not included with this. So if you do not have a compatible pin and clip already, that would be a separate purchase. However, this is really an investment that you are making. So I would recommend considering the InfiniteRule locking pins for Shocker Hitch ball mounts. Those are gonna work with 2-inch and 2 1/2 inch hitches. You're gonna get three locking pins, two to lock your attachment to your Shocker Hitch and one to lock and secure your actual shocker air hitch to your vehicle. On your screen, I am including our item number to those locking pins. Just take that item number, put it in the search field of our website here at etrailer.com, and that'll take you to those locking pins. So you can secure this to your vehicle. The distance from the first hitch pin hole to the center of the ball is 10 1/4 inches. And from the second hitch pin hole to the center of the ball is 11 1/4 inches. Now this does require a minimum of seven inches of clearance between the center of the hitch pin hole and the rear most point of your truck and five inches of clearance below the bottom of your receiver tube. Your receiver opening should be flushed with the bumper or protruding from the rear of your vehicle for best fit. And finally, this will not fit SUVs, CUVs or sedans due to limited clearance. And this will not fit a 2 1/2-inch hitch even with a reducer sleeve because trucks with a 2 1/2-inch hitch have deeper frames. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..

Great addition to my towing capabilities! This Shocker Hitch takes the jolt out of hauling heavy loads and quiets the ride of an empty trailer. The two-pin ball release is quick to swap out for other sizes that are needed for different trailers.
Excellent products, shipping, and customer support!
Awesome hitch once u figure out the air adjusting aspect...little tricky to figure at first but once u get it it's a game changer
Very impressed with this unit. It arrived well packaged and prepared for easy installation. The instructions by video QR code was short and to the point. Literally 20 minutes after opening the package I was ready to hook up the trailer.
Quality product and service! It fits my truck like a glove and I can't wait to put it on my camper. I had a question and Jason was responsive answering my phone call getting the answer I needed. The hitch is solid and looks like it will last.
Works well with all my trailers. From my 30 ft. RV to my 8 x 5 trailer.
Smooth ride no matter what I'm hauling.
Arrived on time in good shape with lots of online tutorials.
From Shocker and Etrailer very well built.
Will get to use it next week. Expect good things as credible reviews have proceeded purchase
Using this on a 2021 f150. The first one I received had the valve stem broken off and the box looked beaten up and retaped. A second one was sent out quickly after I documented it. Sent the first one back. Just took a long trip, and two things to consider if you have a stock f150. The hitch is too low to the ground, so you need some suspension modification. Also, your tow chain hooks will get stuck between the air bag and the hitch frame, causing the air bag to loose its air. Thankfully it didn’t puncture, but you will need some type of extension hardware to keep the hook away from the airbag. All in all, not worth the headaches and expense for me.
