When your trailer sits uneven, you feel it in every mile. The Rapid Hitch makes it easy to dial in the right height so your setup stays level and steady. With an 8" drop or 8" rise and 1" incremental adjustment, you can match it perfectly to whatever trailer you’re towing. Just pull the pin, slide to the right spot, and lock it back in—it’s that simple.
Big trailers call for big strength. This mount’s aluminum construction is built tough and rated for 12,500 lbs gross towing weight on the 2-5/16” ball and 10,000 lbs on the 2” ball. It also handles up to 1,500 lbs of tongue weight. Whether you’re pulling a boat or a heavy hauler, it’s made to deliver solid performance every time.
Getting rid of the grime is a win for anyone who’s ever dealt with messy coupler grease. The Greaseless AlumiBall keeps things smooth without needing lubrication, so you spend less time cleaning and more time towing. It stays easy to use trip after trip and keeps your hands clean when swapping trailers.
If you run different trailers with different coupler sizes, this setup saves you time. The combo ball has both 2" and 2-5/16" options built in—just flip it to the size you need and go. There’s no extra hardware to swap out, making it quick to change between setups on the fly.
From daily use to long-distance towing, this solid aluminum build stands up to the job. It resists corrosion and keeps its good looks while taking the strain of heavy-duty towing. Tested to meet V5 and SAE J684 standards, it’s certified safe so you can roll out knowing your hitch is built to handle the load.

Hi everyone, I'm Evangeline here at Etrailer. Today we're going over the Anderson Rapid Hitch Aluminum Ball Mounts for your 2-1/2" hitch receivers. With those larger hitches, you have a higher weight capacity, but you also need to be very intentional about the type of ball mount that you are getting. There are plenty of options out there, but your Rapid Hitch ones are gonna be ideal for if you want a lighter ball mount since it is made of aluminum, something that is easy to adjust, but for what I think is the most important function, they also have these greaseless caps, which makes things a little bit easier. So we'll go over some of the features to help you pick out which one's the best fit for you. Whenever you're looking to tow, you need to think about what you're towing and how you're gonna do it.
The owner of this truck is actually very particular with his ball mounts just because he needs a specific rise or specific drop for his different trailers. He needs a certain ball size 'cause he has two different couplers and he's also the type of person that likes to grease his hitch ball, which can get annoying whenever you have to take it out 'cause it can turn into quite the messy job. So depending on what you're towing, chances are Rapid Hitch does have a option for you, 'cause it comes in a variety of sizes. So you can get something as small as a four inch drop like what you have here or upgrade to a six inch, eight inch, or even 10 inch drop and rise. And you have the option of going with this nice shiny aluminum look, or you can go a matte black.
They're all gonna work the exact same way. They're just gonna have a different look to them. As a two ball mount, you have the option of a two inch ball with a 10,000 pound capacity or a 2-5/16" ball with a 12,500 pound capacity. You can very easily switch between one or the other as needed. And there's two ways to switch which one you're going to be using.
You can use the more intuitive route, which is the same way you would adjust the rise and the drop. You just pull that clip, pull this pin, and then you can adjust the height up and down. Or you can flip your hitch over like that and then secure in that orientation. Your second option is also right here with that base, you can see that there's a pin on the inside. That pin is securing your two ball mounts in its position.
So what I can do here is pull that pin out, I'm then able to completely remove and you can see here what the duo ball setup looks like. So flip that one on over and then put that pin right back in. So oftentimes people just flip the entire base over, which adds to why this is called the Rapid Hitch. Usually that's all people will need to know about their ball mount. It fits into their hitch receiver, has really good weight capacity and is really easy to use. But as someone who's worked with a bunch of different ball mounts, there's some other features that I've noticed with other brands where you would compare them together and it would start having you ask questions. The first is, does this come with a hitch pin The answer is no. So I do recommend taking a look at some of the 2-1/2" hitch receiver hitch pin options to make sure that they're of the right length to fit through your hitch receiver and your ball mount. I have the etrailer locking hitch pin here, but we have plenty of options. The next is, is there gonna be movement of the ball mount within your hitch It does depend on your different types of trucks. If you find that your truck is prone to having slop with its ball mounts in there, then we do have some anti-rattle options. I recommend the etrailer Anti-Rattle Collar and that's gonna be a really easy to use system that lives on your hitch. The next questions that I get are my experience with the ball mount base and I can say right here that I really like not having to torque down any hitch balls and that this is very nicely secured while the ball mount shank may have movement within your hitch receiver. The balls themselves are nice and secure. This greaseless cap, I really like it 'cause then I don't have to lubricate the coupler or the hitch ball, but this can wear down over time depending on how you tow. Good news is this is very easily replaceable. You just get the replacement caps, you put it in boiling water for it to soften and then you put it onto the hitch ball and it stays on there. So if you have any questions about that, reach out to us here at etrailer. The next thing that a lot of people ask for is can this stow on this shank Well, even if I had the larger shank here because of the design of our whole Rapid Hitch system, I would not be able to store it in the stow position. The good news is, is that this base is very lightweight since it is aluminum so you can just very easily just take it off and put it in your truck when not in use. That's actually something that I would do personally with the Rapid Hitch ball mount since this is so shiny, so sleek looking, and a great look on your truck. But the hitch pin and clip included with it are not lockable. I would just store this in the truck just to help prevent theft. All you need to decide now is do you want the bright and shiny aluminum or the black and sleek ball mount for your truck If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us here at etrailer. Today, this is a look at the Anderson Rapid Hitch Ball Mount for your 2-1/2" hitch receivers at etrailer. My name's Evangeline, I hope you enjoyed this journey.

Well made US product
Great quality and finish!
Practical hitch, good looking
This hitch is second to none! Great American craftsmanship, fits good, great design. And, as usual e-trailer delivery & customer service is fantastic! Thanks.
This was the perfect solution for the squatting issue I was having towing my new trailer with my SUV.
This product is really different with the all aluminum design. I wanted some
top rated hitch that won't rust up, even though other steel hitches are usually just experiencing surface rust. It has the numbers for towing I need and I don't know how anything could be improved.
I like that it's aluminum so it's easy to move around and fast to set up. I got the Andersen locking bolts for security as well. I normally tow a 5th wheel but have an occasional need to tow conventional trailers so got this mount. For those who want to keep it installed, you can't flip around the balls on the inside because the mounting slots are only on the outside. That's not an issue for me because it's removed when not being used. All in all very happy with it
