Hello everybody, Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our replacement L clamp for the Thule Big Mouth roof-mounted bike carriers. Now folks, this replaces one, quantity one, L clamp. It's a direct replacement from Thule for their Thule Big Mouth roof-mounted bike carrier, and it works with the cam lever and T bolt that are sold separately, and it simply clamps your bike rack to the load bars. So here's a quick view of this guy. It's full metal.
Looks like just a basic finish on it. It's not painted or anything, but it does look like it has a clear coat of some sort that would keep it from rusting in its current state. And as far as some dimensions, I'll throw an image up here. It's about 2.63 inches long, about one and a half inches tall, and about 0.98 inches wide. Again, a direct replacement from Thule, so you can be sure it's gonna work with that Thule Big Mouth roof mounted bike carrier.

This is THE way to mount Thule equipment to Yakima round bars...Bar none! Just remember to keep the old clamps in your spare rack parts bag should you need to mount onto a rectangular bar.

A hard to find item. It turned out to be out of stock when I ordered it, but etrailer customer service was great. They informed me it was out of stock, they let me know that the manufacturer was also out of stock, and they emailed very 2 weeks to let me know the latest status. It took months for Thule to finally produce the part, and when they did, they jacked up the price from expensive to ridiculous. But etrailer honored the original price from my order. They called to confirm that I still wanted the item, discussed the price issue and how the credit for that would work, and shipped it promptly. So 5 stars to etrailer customer service, less one star because Thule is charging way too much for a piece of stamped steel.
I was surprised to find this little replacement clamp available for purchase. It had somehow fallen off of my Thule bike carrier during our recent move & I was anticipating having to purchase a whole new carrier. Thank you etrailer!!
Replaced my original Thule roof top bike mount straight L clamps with these to fit the rounded bars of my ARB roof rack, worked perfectly.
Received the parts after an incredibly long wait, however, was not due to eTrailer, but to a delay from manufacturer.
ETrailer kept me advised on the shipping status throughout the wait. Good company to work with. Parts were wrapped well and arrived in good shape.
The 4 star rating was because of the long wait. Would have been nice if the web site stated there was a backlog for the part.
