BOLT (Breakthrough One-key Lock Technology) has solved that problem by designing a line of locks that can operate with a key you already have handy - your vehicle ignition key.
When you insert your own key into the cylinder, spring-loaded plate tumblers move up and down until they are matched exactly to that key. The first time the key is rotated, the cylinder is uniquely coded to that key. When the key is removed, the cylinder moves into the locked position. When the key is turned again, it will rotate to the unlocked position.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this BOLT high lift jack mount, which will code to your Jeep JL or Gladiator key. This is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2018 and newer Jeep JL Wranglers and the Jeep JT Gladiator vehicles. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now, this is a custom fit mount.
It's designed to secure your high lift jack to either the driver's or passenger side of your Jeep. The jack mount installs on either the driver's side or passenger side right in front of the door, and it'll include a spot right up here to add a light also. It is an easy bolt-on installation to the existing holes. There's no drilling required and the installation hardware is all included with a nice set of instructions. Basically with these knobs right here, it's a very quick and easy jack mounting and remover.
You just remove these two knobs, line your jack up over the holes and over the stud here, and then put the knobs in to tighten it down to hold it in place. Now, this extra bracket over here, this is an extra bracket for adding of light to the other side of the vehicle that doesn't have the jack mount on it. Now, the lock itself, it is a BOLT lock, so it uses the vehicle's ignition key so you always have the right key with you. It is designed to work with the Jeep Center Cut Key. Basically to make it work, and again, when you put your jack up on here, this will go through one of the holes in your high lift jack, and then your lock will go on over there and then you'll lock it in place.
Basically what you'll do is you insert your ignition key from the Jeep into this BOLT cylinder. Turn the key once and the lock is permanently coded to your key. Now, one note I do wanna mention, this BOLT lock permanently codes to only one vehicle. It cannot be recoded or re-keyed. Also, when you put your key in there to take it off, it's an auto return spring in there, which will lock automatically when you remove the key.
And this BOLT lock cylinder uses a nice plate tumbler sidebar on the lock to prevent picking and bumping. It is a cast sink cylinder. It gives you superior corrosion resistance, and they use a stainless steel lock shutter to keep dirt out and moisture. The lock you can see is a nice, durable, easy to grip, hard rubber casing to protect the lock. And as you see, it has the attached hard rubber dust cover to protect the lock face. Now, all the brackets right here are an automotive-grade weather-resistant black powder coated steel construction. These parts are made in the USA. But that should do it for a look at the BOLT high lift jack mount, which will code to your Jeep JL or Gladiator key.
