Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the OptiBright 4 inch by 6 inch Sealed High Beam to LED Headlight Conversion Kit. Now this conversion kit will let you replace your vehicle's 4 inch by 6 inch rectangular sealed high bean headlights with these LED lamps. These lights will act as a director replacements for most OEM headlamps. The LEDs they use are super efficient, ultra bright, long lasting. They have about a 30,000 hour life span. What's nice about the LEDs are right in the middle here.
They face the rear and then they use the metallic parabolic reflector to help create a nice broad smooth beam of the light. I'm gonna show you that when we hook them up. This is a high beam so it does make it easier to see in at a distance. They do use the durable SMT, which stands for Surface Mount Technology construction of the LED circuit board. That allows you better to withstand shock and vibration and allows for improved heat distribution. The lens they use is a clear polycarbonate lens.
The housing it's in is a power coated dye cast aluminum housing, which is rust proof. It does meet IP 67 rating for industry standard protection against dust and moisture. It will accept the H43 blade wiring connectors. Those are not included. You would have to supply those.
This is compatible with 12 volt DC 24 volt DC systems. These are DOT or Department of Transportation compliant. Meaning they meet the federal motor vehicle safety standard and the Canadian motor vehicle safety standard requirements for automotive lighting.A few specs again. That's for a total of quantity of two LED headlamps. The dimensions again is gonna be 6 inches wide by 4 inches tall.
These do use 11 diodes per light, so a total of 22 diodes for both of them. Now what I'm gonna do is hook some 12 volt power up. This just to show you to light one up to show you how bright it is, and how the light actually reflects off that lens in there. We'll go ahead hook our power up. Actually what I'm gonna do is go ahead and turn off the light. Then with the light off we'll go ahead and hook it up. Now with the power you can see it gives you a very bright LED headlamp for a high beam. You can see how the light reflects off that metallic parabolic reflector to give you a very bright wide light. Go ahead and disconnect it. I'll go back and turn on our overhead lights, but that should do it for the review on the OptiBright 4 inch by 6 inch Sealed High Beam to LED Headlight Conversion Kit.
Not worth the money or wait to get them. Not much brighter than sealed beams and no dimming for the DRL's. Very disappointed.
