Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the PullRite Custom Installation Kit with the Base Rails for your 5th-wheel trailer hitches as a 20,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this is a custom-fit part. This is designed to fit the 2021 and newer Ford F-150 trucks with the 6 1/2 foot bed. And on a custom-fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website and use the fit guide. Put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application.
Now, this installation kit is designed to let you mount your 5th-wheel trailer hitch in the bed of your truck. The mounting brackets on the side here, these I've installed already to the rails. These will install beneath your truck bed to provide attachment points for the above-bed base rails. And then the base rails themselves, the two right here, these will provide the necessary mounting points for your 5th-wheel hitch. Now, the mounting brackets we mentioned, these are custom-fit mounting brackets.
They're designed to mount to existing holes in your vehicle's frame, so it'll help minimize drilling and measuring, reduces the installation time, and it avoids any known obstacles along your truck's frame. Now, one of the best features on this PullRite kit, what I really like, is they have these built-in tabs at each corner on the mounting brackets. And what those tabs do is they're right below the slotted bolt hole where this bolt goes. And these tabs will eliminate one of your biggest problems when installing mounting brackets to your vehicle, which is how to keep the nuts in place when installing the bols of your mounting bracket. So if I zoom in here on this one right up here, and this is on all four corners, but if you look closely, there's a very bottom tab here that's a metal tab.
You'll pull that down, and then you can slide the nut into the slot. And then you push it back up, and then that nut will be held in place. So when you go to put your bolt in and tighten it down, you don't have to worry about being underneath. 'Cause lots of times when you install these brackets, there's no room. So with this tab here, it'll hold the nut in place while you tighten your bolt down.
And just to show you a better picture, I'm gonna pop up an insert to show you the underside of what we're talking about. So right up in here, that insert is showing you underside. And you can see the cut-out, and then you can see the nut that's in there that's held in place with that cut-out in the tab. Now, this kit is compatible with the PullRite, the B&W Patriot, the Curt, Demco, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Husky, and even the Reese above-bed 5th-wheel hitches. These parts are a black powder coated steel construction. They are corrosion resistant. It does include everything laid out here on the table. The two base rails right here. Right in here, these plastic pieces, these are base rail spacers that you'll put under the base rails when you install it into the bed. The custom mounting brackets we mentioned. Over there, we have the hardware and we have a nice set of detailed instructions that'll describe how this all goes together. Now, these parts are made in the USA. And again, the gross towing weight capacity on this kit is 20,000 pounds. But that's gonna do it for a look at the PullRite Custom Installation Kit with your Base Rails for the 5th-Wheel trailer hitches.
