Question:

This tow hitch I want to put it on a 2021 chev 2500. How does it attach to the bed. I currently have rails on the bed for a pullrite.

Hey Oscar, thanks for reaching out!

The PullRite OEX SuperLite 5th-Wheel Hitch for Chevy/GM Prep Package # PUL96ZR is designed to fit directly into the puck system on a Chevy/GM truck, like if you had the factory puck system installed on your 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500.

If the rails you currently have are adapter rails like the Curt # C88KR, then this PullRite OEX will fit directly to the pucks so you can ditch (or sell, rather) the adapter rails. If you're talking about industry standard bed rails then you need the ISR Series SuperLite 5th Wheel Hitch # PUL53RR instead.

Which type of rails do you have in your Chevy?

B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th. I believe this is the one I have!

@Oscar Great, thanks for getting back with me! If you have the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails # BWRVK2505 on your Chevy, then you need the ISR Series SuperLite # PUL53RR that I referenced above. This is the same thing as the OEX you were initially looking at, it just has a different mounting system that works with the B&W rails on your truck.

Any issues with me having a short bed? Will the truck still be able to have the clearance like I have with super glide

@OscarM We've found that as long as your 5th wheel has a tapered nose then you should have enough clearance with your Chevy to make full turns. If you'd like to double check the math on your end, then here is a formula you can use to do so" (A + B) - C = Clearance A = Distance from center of fifth wheel hitch jaw to truck cab B = Length of offset (slider clearance or Sidewinder offset) C = Width of trailer divided by 2 (to get half) You need at least 4" of clearance to be able to make a 90 degree turn.
