Use this plate to keep your trailer's king pin from rotating in your PullRite SuperGlide hitch. A capture plate is required for you to tow with the SuperGlide. This plate fits Lippert 1621 HD pin boxes with skid plates that are 12-3/4" wide.
Features:
Specs:
Every SuperGlide hitch requires a specific capture plate to control the trailer's king pin during turns. The capture plate bolts to the king pin plate and prevents rotation inside the hitch head, allowing the SuperGlide to automatically slide rearward during tight turns for added cab clearance.
To confirm this is the correct model, measure your king pin plate before ordering:
King pin plate width (A): Measure from side to side. For this plate, it should be 12-3/4", and your measurement should be no more than 1/16" less.
Front offset (B): Measure from the leading edge of the king pin to the leading edge of the king pin plate approximately 2".
Overall plate length (C): Measure from the rear edge to the leading edge of the king pin plate approximately 8-7/8".
If your measurements match these values, this capture plate will fit your pin box and allow your PullRite SuperGlide hitch to function properly.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this PullRite SuperGlide Quick Connect Capture Plate for your 12 and 3/4-inch wide Lippert 1621HD Pin Box. Now if you're using a PullRite SuperGlide 5th Wheel Hitch and your trailer has a Lippert 1621HD Pin Box, this capture plate is a required component for the hitch to work properly. This capture plate is going to bolt directly to the trailer's kingpin plate and prevent the kingpin from rotating inside the SuperGlide Hitch head. Now that may sound like a small detail, but it's what allows the SuperGlide's automatic sliding mechanism to function.
As the trailer turns, this capture plate's gonna transfer that movement to the hitch, causing the hitch to slide rearward and create additional cab to trailer clearance during those tight turns. That's gonna help reduce the risk of your trailer contacting your truck cab when maneuvering. Now, before ordering, it is important to verify that this is the correct capture plate for your Lippert 1621HD Pin Box by measuring your kingpin plate. So you first need to measure the width and you wanna measure the kingpin plate from side to side, and it should measure 12 and 3/4 inches. And your measurement should not be more than 1/16th of an inch smaller than that.
Next, you need to measure your front offset. So you're gonna measure from the front edge of the kingpin to the front edge of the kingpin plate, and that dimension should approximately be two inches. And then the overall plate length you're gonna need to measure as well, you're gonna measure from the rear edge to the front edge of the kingpin plate, and that measurement should be approximately eight and 7/8ths inches. Now, if I lost you on any of that, no big deal because on this product page, we have those details listed out for you step by step. Again, you do wanna make sure that you have that measurement before you place your order for this capture plate.
This plate, by the way, is constructed from heavy duty steel. It's finished, as you can see here, in a black powder coat finish to resist corrosion and hold up during long-term towing. You are going to get an adjustable nylon block here to put it with the set screw when you're tightening, tightening this down in place along with instructions. But I think it's gonna wrap up our quick look today. Again, my name is Andy.
Thank you for joining me.
