For your 2014 Ford Escape with a factory roof rack I recommend the Yakima JayLow, part # Y04073. This carrier can carry up to 2 kayaks in the vertical positiong, 1 kayak when used in the J-style positiong, or be folded down when not in use.
The JayLow includes the tie-downs for one kayak. You'll need to add a second set, using part # Y04031, for the second kayak.
I also recommend adding the Malone QuickLash Hood Loops, part # MPG308, to make the bow and stern connections easier.
